Would a dog park funded by taxpayers money benefit the city of Muscatine? Many taxpaying residents would say it is a bad idea. Neighbors to such parks would probably disagree with building a dog park near their homes as well.…
The article No Dog Park for Muscatine has its postives and negatives. The positives about the article area dog…
Dogs are man’s best friend, but let’s pay attention to the underdog here. Or rather, the under-cat. The nation is in a debate about which is the best pet, dogs or cats. Dogs are great, however, here’s the reasons why cats are superior. Cats are independent animals and can be left unattended. Cats are not raucous, unlike dogs. Cats can align themselves upright. (or save themselves.)…
Being a dog owner myself, I encourage all city officials to consider the development of dog parks for their residents. The ability to utilize a dog park in my local city has not only allowed my dog to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but it's also allowed me to enjoy the outdoors with my best friend, while creating new friends in the process. I find this type of recreation more enjoyable and healthy for all involved, as opposed to being stuck indoors trying to entertain or please a bored canine. Taking my dogs on regular trips to the dog park allows them to sleep better at night, encourages them behave well in social environments and also helps them maintain their weight and physicial appearance. I couldn't be more of an advocate for these facilities.…
Park 51 is a project of an Mosque Community Center proposed by Imam Feisal Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan, who are American Muslims. What they pretend with this project is to serve to the community and to promote dialogue. Their plan has been approved by city authorities, but it has ignited a nationwide firestorm of protest.…
The city is definitely in need of a dog park. It would benefit not just the dog owner and the dog but the entire community. We all know that dogs can be very loud and very annoying but all they need is a place to let out all that energy. Allowing dogs to be off their leash in a safe enviroment also allows them to tire down before going home. Which will benefit the neighbors of any dog owner.…
Building a dog park in an urban setting would be beneficial to dog owners and the community at large. Dogs in an urban setting do not have adequate space for excercise which can lead to poor health and behavior. Dogs need to be trained from a young age to socialize with other dogs aswell as people. With rules and regulations in place, a dog park would be a safe place for dogs to excercise and have fun. Overall, a dog park would be a great addition to a commmunity.…
I believe, building a dog park is a fantastic idea. Living in the city, many people don't have the room for there dogs to run around. Creating a safe enviroment for animals to roem and play. Would help with mental and physical energy. Making them calm around humans, animals, and other places. Even the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) states "dogs that dont get exercise can act out by barking and destorying things at home."…
It is my belief that Muscatine would benefit from the addition of a public dog park. Throughout this essay I will go through my thoughts, both for and against the idea of this park, and I will explain why I think the good outweigh the bad.…
While there is substantially more open space here, there are still a lot of individuals and bunches of movement. This joined with the way that individuals possess more pooches in suburbia, might make taking an especially forceful or timid puppy out for strolls to a greater degree a task than a joy. A canine park can be an awesome path for agreeable and fun loving mutts to spend an evening, in any case, and proprietors tend to advantage…
Even though dog fighting is illegal in most states, people still find a way to get around the law and continue to abuse and force dogs to fight for their lives; law enforcement should bring down these cruel operations. Dog fighting is not the only illegal thing that happens at these events. Not only is this an illegal act it is inhumane, but dog fighting also is a front for illegal gambling, selling of drugs, and firearms.…
There has come to my attention recently an arrising conflict over the possibility of a dog park being built in Muscatine Iowa. There are always many sides to any story and this situation seems to prove that statement. I however remain firm in my opinion that a dog park would be an asset to any commuinuty large or small. I have countless reasons for this and will share a few of the most important.…
Do you prefer a dog over a cat or a cat over a dog? I prefer a dog. Why do I prefer a dog you might ask? I prefer a dog due to the fact that they are very obedient than cats, dogs are better companions than cats, dogs promote an active lifestyle, dogs can be trained, and that dogs protect you from danger.…
Animals from creation have been an essential integral part of human beings. They have frequently been, either directly or indirectly, used by humans to achieve their needs. Hence they are important part and great asset to humans. These animals do have lives different from that of humans and equally have some similar characteristics with humans like emotional feelings. This very fact puts humans in a difficult position of determining the amount of respect and regard that should be accorded to the animals. Some people agitate that animals should be granted same equal rights as human beings. Inasmuch as I quite agree that animals should be granted some rights in order to be free from cruel treatments by humans, the issue of granting them equal full rights as enjoyed by humans should not come up. An objective review of such factors as tradition, cultural believes, religious, socio-economic, and medical as well as salient natural features that distinguish animals from humans like morality, and ability to…
The central idea of the article, “Restaurants in hot water with PETA for serving still-moving octopus, shrimp,” is how restaurants are serving live sea food, and animal rights activists are very upset about it especially the group, PETA. In fact, “Writhing octopus, prawns and other seafood have been served at Los Angeles restaurants for many years.,” said in an article by Los Angeles time. To further this quote, the eating of live seafood has been traditional food that has been served for a very long time in Korea and some places in the United States. Another example from the Los Angeles Times is spokesman of PETA, Ben Williamson said “We’re taking no other options off the table until live animals themselves are taken off the table,.” This…
