ANCHORMAN MOVIE REVIEW
In the mid-1970s, Ron Burgundy is the famous anchorman for a local San Diego station.
He works with his friends on the news team: Brian Fantana, Champion "Champ" Kind, and Brick Tamland. Ed Harken tells the team that they have maintained their status as the highest-rated news program in San Diego, leading them to throw a party, where Ron unsuccessfully tries to pick up a blonde woman. Ed later informs the team that they've been forced to hire Veronica Corningstone, the same woman that Ron tried to pick up. After a series of futile attempts by the team to seduce her, she finally relents to a date with Ron, leading in a sexual relationship. Ron announces it on air despite agreeing to keep the relationship discreet.
Ron gets into a dispute with a motorcyclist, involving his dog, Baxter, being thrown off a bridge, Ron is late to work. Veronica replaces him on-air, and they break up. Veronica is made co-anchor, to the disgust of the team, and the two co-anchors become rivals, both on and off the air. The news team decides to buy new suits as a result of depression, but Brick, who was leading the way gets them lost in a shady part of town. Confronted by competitor Wes Mantooth and his news team, Ron challenges them to a fight. However, when several other news teams converge on the site, a full fight breaks, broken up only by police sirens. When they return to the studio,
Ron gets in another heated argument with Veronica, and they get in a physical fight after she insults his hair, increasing tensions even more.
The next day, Ron concludes his broadcast with, "Go fuck yourself, San Diego!” (after
Veronica's co-workers had told her that Ron would read anything written on the teleprompter, she sneaked into the station and changed the words). An angry mob gathers outside the studio, and Ed is forced to fire Ron. Veronica attempts to apologize, but Ron angrily dismisses her. Ron becomes an unemployed,

Likewise, Vera’s phone rings while she is out of the room, so Burt answers it for her; to his dismay, the voice on the other line asks for “Charlie,” Vera’s new partner. After calling another time, Vera answers and leaves to another room. This finally breaks Burt, and he cuts the cord because he does not want to face the fact that Vera is no longer committed to him. Ronnie is actually a smart girl that doesn’t do anything that the people she hangs out with do. I think this because,…
