Analyzing An Advertisement Midsummer Night's Dream
An advertisement designed by me was made for a product used it the book Midsummer Night’s Dream. The product was a juice made to make someone fall with another. The way my advertisement layout was designed was simple I showed a picture of the bottle and a glass cup next to it showing what the juice looks like to let the audience know what they are drinking. I added a very simple background is grey and fades into very light pink in the middle I added this plain background because I wanted everything else on the advertisement to pop out and he clearly shown. There was a slogan made for this drink which is “Cupid Lovin Juice” I think I didn't do a good job on finding a clever slogan but I think that is ok because the product will still sell and …show more content…
Now that I have my slogan and name of the product and a picture I added two quotes from the book that tell what the product is and how it works and the effects of it. I added quote (2.1.155-160) as well as quote (2.1.150-153) these quotes are at the bottom of the page separated that can be seen easily and if you were the audience you would know to look there for more information of the product. The slogan I added wasn't really clever but does make sense and fit the product because it has the word juice and love in it that way the audience would know that this is juice and has something to do with your feeling. “Cupid” probably makes the person reading the advertisement think of them and another person. My slogan for the product will get people to read the rest of the slogan and have I interest to it that way they will realize the amazing powers of this juice and buy …show more content…
Weasel words are words that show what it helps you with examples; “help,” “up to,” “almost,” “flights” I used the word “love” this word makes them know that they will walk in love. Guilt and fear is the other advertisement technique I used. I made this technique through my quotes because this is probably for people who are not loved and need this drink. This advertisement is targeting older teenagers and adults like 18-30 I think this is an appropriate audience because younger children won't need this drink because they will not need a lover in life yet. This makes use for older people because it might be hard to make someone fall in love with

A Midsummer Night Dream is a play written by the late William Shakespeare. This play is about a love triangle how one loves the other when the other does not like them until finally it all ends in a resolution, as they have a secret fairy world looking over at them, this play is almost like a mix between the fantasy world and the real! Bottom is one of the characters in this play, and in this play Bottom is a humorous and confident character, although being intelligent in other fields Bottom is not a very clever or educated man. Bottom and his fellow workmates are named the “rude mechanicals”, unsophisticated men but rather great tradesmen, working not with the mind but with the hands, though Bottom may be labeled a “rude mechanical” in many…

The advertisement that I chose is for the new Lexus LS F sports car. The ad shows a car in the middle of the picture with an attractive man and woman standing on each side of the car. A dark and dimmed glass room with shadowy figures in the background gives the impression of a club or theater at night. The words “memorable performance” is largely displayed at the bottom of the advertisement. This advertisement mainly attracts men because it portrays a man driving around with an attractive woman. By using an intriguing picture, a dark background, and bold words, this ad illustrates a message that if men drive this Lexus, they are more likely to live a glamorous life.…

Advertisements use techniques or methods to persuade their audience into purchasing their product.Such techniques are capable of actually working sometimes. All depending on the viewer being gullible or convinced enough by the way in which a product is advertised that they’ll actually buy it.No matter if the product that they’ll eventually buy is useful or not or if they even need it.These persuasive techniques can also be used negatively or positively and because of this can impact or influence their viewers’ way of thinking or percieving things.Such can be seen in the vitamin water advertisement.By using transfer and emotional words, vitamin water has created an untruthful and unpersuasive ad.…

I am Kaitlyn Luepann and I am portraying the fairy attendants Peaseblossom, Bottom, Cobweb, and the “jester fairy” Puck From William Shakespeare’s play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” I will be portraying all these characters as one character with characteristics of all four. The ways I am going to adapt the characters that I am portraying are for me to have a witty sense of humour, yet have common courtesy and manners, and have respectful body language and a humourous tone of voice because the three fairy attendants are very respectful, but Puck is humourous. How I adapt all of the fairies body language and tone of voice from the play to the modern day is to be a respectful Starbucks worker, who cracks jokes in a funny manner while customers…

Advertisements apply the three rhetorical appeals of logos, ethos, and pathos through its imagery and text. The Tylenol PM advertisement appeals to ethos by the text in the top and bottom of the page. The saying “We give you a better night, you’re a better you all day,” shows Tylenol’s reliably and assures that their mission is to make sure the customer is put first. The text on the bottom states that Tylenol PM “relieves pain and helps you fall asleep and stay asleep.” This further displays Tylenol’s reinsurance between them and the viewer that the product can help relieve pain and provide help to fall asleep.…

    a) There are many instances where the love potion “love-in-idleness is used in the play. The function of this love potion is to make someone fall in love with the first person/creature the see when awoken. The first instance where the love potion is used is when Oberon put’s the love potion on Titania’s eyes. The reason for this was is simply because Titania refuses to hand over the changeling boy. Oberon thinks that if Titania is so infatuated, she will be willing to hand over the changeling boy. Fortunately for Oberon, this is exactly what happens. The second time when the “love-in-idleness” potion is used is when Oberon orders Puck to place the love potion on Demetrius’ eyes, so he may fall in love with Helena. However, this is not what takes place. Puck accidently places the love potion on Lysander’s eyes instead of Demetrius’, this cause Lysander to fall in love with Helena. The third occurrence where the love potion was used is when Oberon puts the love potion on the correct male, Demetrius. Although Demetrius is now in love with Helena, so is Lysander. This leads to a conflict where Helena thinks the two males are plotting and making fun of her. Puck realizes that he has done wrong, and puts an antidote on Lysander’s eyes, so when he awake he will be in love with Hermia again. Another time where the love potion is used is very different. A potion isn’t being used to make people fall in love; instead it is to make them fall out of love. This potion is an antidote to the “love-in-idleness” potion. Oberon places the antidote on Titania’s eyes, out of pity, since she has handed over the changeling boy and has fallen in love with an ass. When Oberon places the antidote on Titania’s eyes that was the last time any potion was used. However, Demetrius is the only one still under a spell.…

The Jordan Brand attempts to communicate to its audience that to become legendary they need to understand that it is not about the shoes, but what it is you do in them. They do this by showing a number of star athletes performing when they were in college and high school to the narrator’s (Michael Jordan) words. This paper hypothesizes how it is the Jordan Brand attempts to bring their audience to the shared rhetorical vision of becoming legendary, through fantasy themes in their ad “It’s Not About the Shoes”.…

An earlier play entitled, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, by William Shakespeare, is a comedy outlining the destinies of two bothered couples. Shakespeare tactically demonstrates the love of two Athens individuals, Lysander and Hermia. The conflict is, Hermia’s father is against the marriage of the two and insists upon marriage with a man named Demetrius. However, the already complicated situation becomes more complex when Hermia discovers that Helena, a deep-rooted friend, is in love with Demetrius. My initial interest of the play arose during the introduction of this conflict.…

I have decided upon this product as I thought that it would be very useful towards my target group during the summer time as it will give all females a summer glow with out the need of a fake tan. The main advertising approach that I have used is self interest. Self interest is the main approach used due to the fact that this advertisement essentially advertises a product that would improve the consumers body image. On the layout of the advertisement by Tom Ford appears a part of woman’s body. Cutting half of the head off from the top and everything beneath the breast from the bottom it is only possible to see her open mouth with red lipstick and her hands with red nail polish squeezing the breasts together to hold between them the iconic image of a perfume bottle, which is supposed to be the advertised product. The parts of a woman’s body and the fragrance bottle are all components of the advertisement’s signified concept. As Roland Barthes describes in his text “the signifieds of the advertising message are formed a priori by certain attributes of the product and these attributes have to be transmitted as clearly as possible”.…
