All American Informative Speech
I have always wondered what wins in audition or even life talent or hard work, well I found out. I have been in show choir for 5 years now and since the very beginning when I went to a show I fell in love, and from that moment on my goal was “Making the All Americans”. See the All Americans is the high school group and in my opinion the best. Though the directors tell us that the girls group “Rouge” is not a B team and is just as good; I don’t think that's true. I had been working towards this for the whole time I was in ETC, the show choir school.
I started my first year in ETC in my 5th grade year, I was part of the New Generation, the elementary group, I had so much fun with that group I kept going through the groups. In my sixth grade year I was finally old enough to be a Main Street Singer,

But the singing didn't go as well as I had hoped, And to tell the truth from that moment on I knew I didn't make it. Sure enough I didn't make it, after I got the letter that told me I started to text all my friends, and to my dismay all veterans from revere got in and I was only one who didn’t. For a while I slipped into depression and it haunted me for awhile. After I found that out I was asking myself why I didn't get , my first thought was the director just doesn't like me, but with time I realised it was because I didn't work as hard as the others.
The whole experience taught me that hard work trumps talent when talent doesn't work hard. Exposure to this event has awoken a understanding in me. Since I got the letter on May 17th 2016 I have been in and out of deepprison, and I have started to pick up the work I had negated last year. I have continued to work very hard, and have been putting a lot of effort into my singing so that when auditions come this year; I will be ready. If my work pays off hopefully next year I will find myself as an All American, and finally have my dream come

This was my dream, and it took me blood sweat and tears to make it happen. Coming from a small recreational team, I had the bare minimum to work with, but I took it for all it could offer. Training six days a week, I tore my body up day in and day out. It wasn’t easy, I would cry and lose faith in myself but I constantly picked myself back up and reminded myself exactly what I wanted. I trained for three months before I went to an Identification camp for the USRowing Junior National team where I had to do a 2k erg piece and row on the water. I sat in that room, surrounded by girls who all had the same dream as me and I had to prove that I was the best. I began that piece, and started to fly. I pushed out a personal best that day, and even got the national coaches attention as she stood behind me for more than half of my piece. I spent the next two months training, checking my email every day to see if I was selected. Weeks went by without any sign, making me feel defeated. As I got ready to lift after school, I got an email. As I read it I started crying. I cried of joy, exhaustion and relief. I had been selected to be a part of the High Performance Camp for the…

I wasn’t the greatest singer in the world, but I still had confidence; confidence in that I can do better and learn. Ms. Janke helped build that confidence by being my own personal voice teacher twice a week after school and I saw much improvement. I would have never considered singing, especially to a crowd of people, but this all changed when I met Kate. She was my choral instructor for three years while attending school. I saw much improvement in my voice range and tone. I improved so much that I got up the courage and sang the national anthem at one of our high school’s football games. When it was all said and done, people were looking at me and applauding. Ms. Janke once told me that I can do anything if I just worked hard. Because of my National Anthem performance, she was right. To this day I sing for people, and when I help people in their musical struggles I pass down her message to work hard, have confidence, and to not give…

My schoolmates may not know me by name, but they can tell something about the guy who is damn good at singing musicals. After he finished singing on the stage, the principal jumped to his feet clapping hands. Parents watching online hurriedly posted messages of praise, eager to find out whose kid the singer was. I, proud but not vain, had been accustomed to such reactions. For me, loving and practicing musicals has been a long, inspiring journey; it means much: a talent, a hobby, a way to relax, and even a label!…

Everyone had been so confident in me; I couldn’t understand why now. I had let them all down, but most importantly I had let myself down. Was it that I didn’t have enough impressive service because for the past year and a half I had helped my father rehab our entire house? Was it that I didn’t have a job because of volleyball, dance, school, and family responsibilities?…

I decided to set aside the thought that I was scraping the bottom, and decided to climb to the top. When music for the next concert choir audition was posted, I ensured I was first in line for them. I immediately perfected Locus Iste with my voice teacher, and readied myself for the audition day. When I reported to the choir room, I was not “hoping” to do well, I was confident in my performance: I already knew my name would be on the list. I am now in the concert choir for my senior year, and can hold my head high for having worked for…

Did you know our former president Andrew Jackson came from poverty? Or that he was the first president to have an assassination attempt made on him while he was in office? The Weider History Group states “Jackson’s presidency is often called the first modern presidency because of his belief that the President is not just an executive but a representative of the people, much like a Congressman but for all the people rather than those of a specific district.…
