Founded in 1970 and named after Canada’s second native-born Governor General, George P. Vanier, Vanier College is constituted today of over 6100 students that are full time day students. Around 2000 students are enrolled in the Continuing Education division, 4400 students are enrolled in the pre-university programs and 1700 students are signed up in the Career program. This high educational school is located north of CEGEP Saint-Laurent in the center of the island of Montreal borough of Saint-Laurent approximately fifteen miles of an urban area. It is surrounded by restaurants, bakeries, drug stores, shops of all types, banks, computer stores, and a couple of museums as well. The main office can be contacted via email: info@vaniercollege.qc.ca, by telephone: 514-744-7500 or/and by fax: 514-744-7505. The website is organized under five categories. There are precise daily information you can retrieve on the school whether you’re a parent, an employer, a teacher, a staff member or a current student. Each category has specific information and listings for the people concerned informing them on current news. For example, if you click on the parents tab, you will find events, open houses, calendars, tax receipts, academic programs, etc., basically the usual information a parent would seek in his or her daughters’ education life.
