The Jeep first made its appearance during World War Two. The government gathered up three companies to see which could make the most efficient, all terrain vehicle. After a long process, the Jeep was being sold to the military and being used for multiple purposes. One of the reasons the Jeep was chosen to be used as the military’s main vehicle was because it was sold for low prices and easy to make. Although it was cheap, it was one of the most durable cars that the military possessed. Soldiers liked that the Jeep could go almost anywhere it was taken, and that it was fast. The Jeep was also used to take high ranking officers from place to place. Lastly, the car could be used as an artillery platform that soldiers used to shoot from. Dwight D. The airplane ranged from simply cargo planes, jets, or even bomber planes. Airplanes carried tons of cargo overseas faster than what ships would have taken them. Also, there were two atomic bombs that were dropped from airplanes over Japan towards the end of the war. The dropping of these bombs started the beginning of the end of World War II. As sad as it is, airplanes were also used as major weapons. The Japanese used them for suicide missions. They would take their jets and fly them into their targets. This tactic was called Kamikaze.
