Since necessity is the mother of invention, human beings have used their ingenuity to constantly make new advancements in science and technology. The Internet was one of those exciting discoveries made through such advancements. It has enabled computer users worldwide to widen their knowledge through reading and reserve into various websites. Nowadays, internet shopping has become a trend amongst internet users because of its numerous advantages which is providing convenience and saving to buyers and also increases revenue to businessmen.
Buyers prefer to shop via internet because it brings convenience to the buyers. They can do it in the comfort of their homes instead of needing to drive to a shopping mall which increase the cost of travelling and it is less troublesome because people can avoid pushing around by the crowd (Crunch, 2012; Leong, 2009; Lee, 2009). Furthermore, buyers have ample choices to choose from because numerous displays and descriptions of various products can be provided in a webpage. Collin (2012), states that “There are unlimited products that you can choose from on. No need to go through racks or shelves, all you have to do is to type in your desired item in the search box”.
Moreover, money can be saved from shopping online. Cheap deals can be obtained by buyers if they negotiate hard and bargain on the price with the sellers before committing to buy (BBC News, 2008). Next, by comparison of price, buyers could get the best price of a particular product, thus it will help the buyers to save up their money. Barton (2002) states that “Buying over the net means an average saving of 33 per cent- and that’s after adding exorbitant shipping charges and GST”.
