Adoption: The Morality Of Abortion
“However, we might oppose it, Abortion is a sad feature of modern life” (Casey). A mother's womb should be a safe place for a child, it shouldn't be an alternative. It should be illegal because abortion is the murder of a child, federal law has already been passed to protect the unborn, and they have an adoption center for a reason. Abortion is probably one of the most high-ranked topics. When you have an abortion, you are killing a baby that was willing to be born and have a life. Women have a choice to choose whether or not they want to abort their child. The aspect of women wanting to abort their kid shows that they didn't want one in the first place. Abortion is murder and you're gonna have to live with it your entire life. “People who …show more content…
It's amiss for a mother to have the right to kill her child. Yet, mothers still have the right, which is not acceptable. “Federal law prohibits the death penalty for pregnant women until they give birth” (Brown). This means that women can’t be sentenced to death until after they have the baby. Which shows that the federal laws were already protecting the unborn, yet the supreme court is allowing women to kill the child before being born. Most women choose to abort their child because they are allowed to. Think about what would happen if women were not allowed to abort her child; the population would increase, and you wouldn't have to spend money to kill the …show more content…
Adoption center is always an option. Instead of killing the baby, if a woman puts the baby up for adoption the baby will have a home, and a family to love. Although “both abortion and adoption are emotionally difficult choices for women to make” (American Adoption), adoption is a much better option. Saying this, abortion and adoption both live with woman forever. Adoption ends with a giving life, a woman can keep contact with their baby, and a woman will remember the time they gave birth. With Abortion a woman ends pregnancy with death, the women could feel guilty and ashamed of what they have done, and instead of remembering giving birth, a woman will remember giving a life. Adoption is such a better option for the baby and for the women. Adoption helps a woman move on with her life and go on with her dreams. It is also the cheapest way for a woman to take care of an unplanned

It is their own body and should be able to decide what happens to it. In the post-Roe era, many pro-choice advocates are trying to defend the law and explain why they approve of this by “talking about women’s rights, sexuality, and abortion.” 2(p10) One reason why a mother-to-be might have an abortion is that they might not be financially stable to have this child. Another reason why they might decide not to have their child is if they know their child would be in a vegetable state for the rest of their life. However, these are not good enough reasons to have an abortion. Even though the mother might not be able to take care of the child after giving birth, there are many other people in the world that could. Many people are willing to adopt and take care of these kids, especially if they cannot have kids of their own. It is not fair to the child to let the mother decide if they get to live or…

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

The rights of the mother exceed the rights of the unborn child, because she has spent (however many years) getting to wherever she is in life therefore, why should her life be taken away because of one mistake she has made, by something that does not know who she is or what her situation may be. By saying that the rights of the unborn child are greater, is saying that the creator of the life is inferior to the life itself and that makes no sense…

Death is morally wrong according to American ethics and values so is the killing of unborn fetuses morally wrong as well? A fetus is considered a human life because life begins at the moment of conception. Abortions are painful, inhumane, and dangerous for the child, the mother, and the mother 's health. Women should not have an abortion because it is an act of taking human life, can result in medical complications later in life, and to complete the process the mother and her baby must go through horrific procedures.…

Abortion is a controversial issue affecting our society. At the present time abortions are legal. However, there are groups of people who would like this to change. Popular belief among pro-choice coalitions is that abortion is a matter that should be decided on by the mother; however, abortion in its truest sense is the termination of a human life. As a society we must set clear boundaries about this issue or else we will be ending innocent lives or we will face women having abortion as a substitute for birth control. Both sides provide very strong and debatable opinions, which leads to a frenzy of controversy. Abortion should be illegal because abortions are immoral, they contradict many religious teachings, and abortions are a large health risk to women.…

When a woman is pregnant the child has their own body, even within a month of conception, the child also has a beating heart 18 days from conception, this age is well within the parameters of an abortion. Another argument is that other options, such as adoption, are more expensive than an abortion. On average an abortion costs 1,500 dollars while most adoption agencies will pay for your basic prenatal needs such as, sonogram, your hospital, and they even have a 24/7 moral support hotline. Agencies also have scholarship programs to help you get back into your education. Adoption is not the enemy, perhaps it the side we need to be on, on account of accidental…

Perinatal issues mostly cause concerns when a mother acts in a way that could be seen as causing harm to her fetus and is then looked down upon by members of society; as commonly seen in abortion. The health care team may be influenced by their own beliefs and respond with judgment rather than support their patient. Differences of opinion are a major factor when discussing abortion, but nonetheless the rights of the mother and the fetus need to be further examined. Abortion has always been a legal, social, and political issue. In the United States abortion is legal because it affects a woman’s right to privacy.…

One argument over whether or not abortion is morally wrong, lies within whether or not a mother is capable of taking care of the child. This argument specifically should be thrown out the window. One can make the selfless act and give the child a home in which they cannot provide, and a better life: adoption. When one adopts, they transfer all rights and responsibilities to the new parents.
