Picnics are the best way to enjoy the simple pleasure of life and spent time with family. I love family picnics it gives me a change to interact more with my family member. No one is big or small we all behave and enjoy like kids on picnic. It is a nice way to see the fun personality of my family.

One of my most memorable family-picnic was on 25th December 2011. We all celebrated Christmas at a farm house located at the outskirts of my city. Since days my brother and I were asking our dad to take us for a picnic, finally dad agreed and we invited our aunts, uncle and cousins for picnic too.
“Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city.”― George Burns

Our picnic started early in the morning, we hired a bus and all travelled together. It was a 2 hour drive. We had great fun in the bus.

We reached at the farm in the morning had our breakfast prepared by the cook at the farm house. The breakfast was delicious and I loved eating with everyone inside the house.

We lay mattress on the garden; the garden was huge and beautifully decorated with different types of plants and trees. There were mango and coconut trees; and flower plants of rose, sunflower, and jasmine. Many vegetables were also grown in the garden.

It was a pleasant day we sat in the garden later in the afternoon. We played many games and even danced on a loud music. There was also music competition, my team won in that competition.

My mom had prepared tasty snacks for the day and even my aunts bought tasty foods. We all sat together and enjoyed the meal at the garden of the farm house.

It was one the most memorable day of the life, sitting with my family and relaxing at the farm house and munching homemade tasty snacks. We had pizza and coke for lunch. We even had a coke competition my uncle won the competition by drinking seven glasses of coke all at once.

At the time of returning home the gardener gave us many fresh vegetable such as cabbage,

I will never forget the Christmas when I was 14 years old. The whole day was so wonderful and exciting. We had to wake up and unwrap presents early because my father was working that day so everyone woke up at 5:00 AM. After all the presents were given out, everyone said was saying goodbye to my father and went back to sleep. At 9:00 AM, we had to wake up to clean the house because we have “Christmas Brunch” every other year where my whole family comes to have a meal. My mom has a total of 5 brothers and sisters. And they all came with their families, which included their kids and some of their kids even have children. So, at my house, there was a rough total of about fifty family members for the brunch. The food that we ate on this day was unbelievably and utterly amazing. Most of the types of food that we devoured were Polish and German cultural foods, which are the two major nationalities in my family. There was fried Polish sausage with sautéed onions. They were a perfect combination of saltiness to sweetness. Then there were some sweet and creamy pecan rolls that my grandmother used to make all the time, but unfortunately I could not have one since I am allergic to nuts. Then to top all of those foods, there were all different sorts of pierogi. There were the family favorite potato pierogi, the sweet cheese pierogi, and then there were the blueberry pierogi which are my favorite. Those foods were the three items that we mostly ate at the brunch. All the adults would be either drinking coffee, soda, or some alcoholic beverages and for me my favorite thing to drink: Polish carbonated water.…

There was a concert, games, art shops, and fireworks. My sister and I got glitter tattoos and we got to make a sea turtle out of sand. My brother was exploring all the games there was and playing one game over and over again. It started to rain hard all of a sudden when the sun was just out shining bright. Employees were passing out plastic rain coats for us to wear, the rain stopped and soon it became dark. The fireworks display was amazing, with red, white, and blue sparks falling down from the sky. Everyone waved their mini American flag as we sang the National…

In the past, our family normally makes plans to go on a trip. So this year we decided to travel to Washington D.C. with my grandparents. My parents told us at around Christmas time and said that we were supposed to leave during spring break. I couldn’t wait! We were going all the way down to Washington D.C.! There were a couple of requirements though. For example, we had to keep the whole house spotless without anything on the floors, and we had to stay out of trouble. It was a little struggling for a while, but it was soon over.…

The snow continued throughout the rest of the day and the next day. The following day once it stopped snowing my dad had an idea that we take some sleds and go on top of a hill and ride down it. We snowshoed to the top of the hill and we saw some deer, birds, raccoons on the way. Once we were at the top we tried to sled down but it wasn't steep enough to sled down and we got upset. We walked back home. Then a few hours later it was finally time to have thanksgiving dinner there was, a turkey, stuffing, steamed carrots and it was…

The best part of the day had arrived, dinner. We had a reservation at the pier in which we were going to eat dinner. We looked like a whole bunch of bees ready to attack. The food was there. Right in front of our noses. We could feel the presence of the warmth coming from the food. The smell was just making our mouths water and our tummies rumble. We looked at each other with such eagerness to have some of those explicit desserts in our mouths. There we were, with our food served and ready to attack. I knew that when I was done with this food there was no longer going to be any space for the dessert. Overall the food was amazing and the experience as well.…

It was step-up day, and we were playing games on the field with the fourth/soon to be fifth graders. I saw my dad walking towards the field, and I knew it was time to get ready. I said goodbye to my friends and they wished me good luck. I was really excited to see my family coming in for the evening shabbat services. We headed up to the temple, and take some pictures with my grandparents and cousins. I greeted an endless amount of relatives, family friends, and people I have never met before. The service was beautiful, and the wine (grape juice for me) and challah were passed out. Dinner was served in an adjacent building where we visited with relatives from all over the country. First cousins, second cousins, third cousins twice removed, you name it. Uncles, aunts, great uncles and aunts and of course my grandparents all join us for a delicious dinner. We all talked and caught up, and it made me more comfortable to see that my family was there to support me, and I was excited for…
