My Family Vacation to Washington D.C. In the past, our family normally makes plans to go on a trip. So this year we decided to travel to Washington D.C. with my grandparents. My parents told us at around Christmas time and said that we were supposed to leave during spring break. I couldn’t wait! We were going all the way down to Washington D.C.! There were a couple of requirements though. For example, we had to keep the whole house spotless without anything on the floors, and we had to stay out of trouble. It was a little struggling for a while, but it was soon over. When it became closer to leaving, we discovered that our grandparents were riding in the same car as us. While we were all getting in the car, my family made me sit in the middle of both my grandma and my grandpa. They squashed me like a bug right between them. It’s a good thing they had to go to the restroom about five times in an hour so I could get out
Many of the war memorials were very interesting. Most of them had all the names of the people that passed away serving for the war. Some of the memorials keep all the names of the people that actually served too. We finished gazing upon the memorials and headed to the town square. In town, we walked around and went into a lot of stores. Most were very nice and had a bunch of miscellaneous objects. Almost all of us bought something at one of the stores. It was finally starting to get dark, so we decided to go back to the house. On our fourth day, we were going to go to Virginia Beach. It’s about two hours from my aunt’s house so we left kind of early to get there around eleven o’clock. While we were there my grandparents went to one of those side shops, the ones that sell clothes and other items. Anyway, they went and bought a ton of different souvenirs. Everyone looked at my grandparents and laughed. They looked
