Memorial Persuasion Essay
My thoughts on a memorials are very positive. Even if the event that happened that created to memorial was tragic or depressing, it gives remembrance of those involved in the event. And memorials will always remind people of all the things that a person or people did to deserve a memorial after them. In some cases, Memorials can be for things that are saddening, or maybe even something great that happened and people will never forget thanks to that memorial.

Memorials also give great history in remembering things that could’ve happened before you were born. They can give you a visual on how things were at the time of the event. I personally enjoy looking at memorials to remember all things that happened in the past

    Five Days at Memorial by Sheri Fink was a very compelling overview of the tragedy that took place at Memorial Hospital during the five days after Hurricane Katrina ravished New Orleans in September 2005.     No other memorials on the national mall were mainly black and dark. Most were memorials of great people or events and they were presented as bright. Neither of these memorials are bright and both cast a dark image to some viewers. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was the first out of the two memorials to be built. It was constructed and dedicated seven years after the war, which was a much shorter time frame.
