Adaptive leadership provides new and different ideas, innovations, and improvements helping to foster a holistic successful blueprint for the organization. This type of leadership enables organizations to work comprehensively as it will facilitate the adoption of a comprehensive process, which includes a collaboration between individuals and teams at the frontline. The right CIO adaptive leadership would provide improvements and innovations whereby leaders would be able to compose useful information from their heart, not from their head. This is because organizations face many challenges and to truly figure out the solutions, healthcare providers and leaders need to devise organizational plans and communicate openly. It is imperative that healthcare organizations maintain good relationships with their communities as they establish a clear mission statement. I believe this means that the CFOs, CEOs, CMIO, CNIO, and CTO’s must develop and improve the care in order to accomplish success. For example, Wager text also stated that “the CIO, CTO, CSO, and CMIO all play important roles in helping to ensure that information systems acquired and implemented are consistent with the strategic goals of the health care organization, are well accepted and effectively used, and are adequately maintained and secured.” This shows that the relationship between the CIO and the CMIO is important because CIOs might not know everything that goes on in the healthcare environment. On the other hand, the CMIO is highly aware of the collaborations and information that gets transferred through their system. Healthcare providers may be expected to create plans that can benefit patients as they develop opportunities for technological engagement. Patients should be given a path that leads them tin the right direction that best suits their individual needs.
