Abstract

Abortion is the most controversial issue having no grounds of agreement. The argument is life and death though the uncertainty of complication makes it difficult. I don’t believe in abortion because it’s murder we are not the ones that can decide whether the the baby fetus lives or dies. Abortion is a life or death matter, definite death for the fetus and a high chance of death for the mom.

Introduction
Abortions: the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. I choose this topic because I know a lot of women who went through the ins and outs of having an abortion. It is a very touchy subject and causes a lot of controversy within different groups of people depending on their morals and their beliefs.
Body
I personally am against abortions. I think that only God can give and take life away. Who are we to say other wise. Must the baby suffer because you were to irresponsible to do the right thing. Your suppose to wait until your married before you engaging in sexual activities, so this way when a baby comes it wouldn't be unwanted. Thats just speaking from a Christian standpoint. If the person isn't into the whole religion thing, they can use so many things to make sure that the female doesn't get pregnant. There is the morning after pill, birth control from the pill to the patch to ones that is inserted inside of the female, condoms for both male and female. With all of these things that can prevent pregnancy there Is no reason for abortions. What makes it ok to kill a human, thats what it is after all. A little human the size of a raspberry. Murder is murder and if you can go to jail for killing a adult, why not the same punishment for those who get abortions. Does the life of a fetus have no value? What if its the next President of the United States that your getting rid of? You never know. The fetus deserves to live even if its not with you, you can always give it up for adoption. There are so many couples who would die for a child but cant reproduce. When getting an abortion your not only killing a baby, your putting yourself at risk as well. Some of the risks of having an abortion include: Damage to the womb or cervix, uterine perforation (accidentally putting a hole in the uterus with one of the instruments used), excessive bleeding, Infection of the uterus or fallopian tubes, scarring of the inside of the uterus, reaction to the medicines or anesthesia, such as problems breathing, and not removing all of the tissue, with the need for another procedure. All of these risk can cause a woman to be unable to conceive in the future. Your chances of having frequent miscarriages and cancers in your cervix and uterine are also very high. Being from Brooklyn, New York, myself , I was very shocked when I read the statistics for abortion in NYC. These statistics nearly brought a tear to my eye. In 2014, there were more black babies killed by abortion (31,328) in New York City than were born there (24,758), and the black children killed comprised 42.4% of the total number of abortions in the Big Apple, according to a report by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. There were 6,570 more abortions than live births of black children. In total, there were 73,815 abortions, The number of non-Hispanic white abortions was 9,704, and the number of Asian and Pacific Islander abortions was 4,493. In New York City, 77.56% of the abortions in 2014 were performed on Black and Hispanic babies, according to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).For that total, 9,550 abortions were of white babies, which is 12.5% of the total; 35,188 babies were black (46.1% of total); 23,959 were Hispanic (31.4%); and another 7,554 “other” abortions, 9.9%, which includes Asians and Native Americans, as well as those babies not reported by race. Blacks, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, make up 25.5% of the population of New York City, and Hispanics comprise 28.6% of the NYC population. Despite those population percentages, blacks make up 46.1% of the abortions, and Hispanics, 31.4%.While whites comprise 44% of the NYC population, they made up 12.5% of total abortions in that city.
Conclusion
While reading these statistics it brought a tear to my eye. Why is it that Blacks and Latinos get the most abortions in this city when Whites make up most of the majority? I feel that there needs to be a change. These statistics are very alarming and something needs to be done about it. It needs to start in the communities in which we live. There needs to be more more resources and places that these young women can go and get educated on what their doing to themselves and their race as they know it. that they don’t resort to abortion. I think its time for a change. We need to put and end to these killings and start educating.

Abortion plays a major role in the everyday life of a human. People base their political parties, and even the jobs they choose to work at, all depending whether the host is pro-life or pro-choice. I personally am pro-life. I have made the decision of being pro-life based on multiple observations. This controversy will remain for centuries, however the fact that a potential life has ended before given a chance remains evidence enough for most people to understand why a person should never have a choice of whether a baby lives or dies. There are many reasons abortion should be illegal including the descriptive and disturbing stories about how aborted babies sometime scream as they come out and the looks of pain on their faces. These facts alone should convince anyone to eliminate the idea of pregnancy termination out of their mind.…
