Abortion Should Stay Legal In The United States
In 2014 approximately 926,240 abortions took place in the United States. The new president of the United States Donald Trump has shaken things up in the government. One of the hot topics he talks about is abortion. Trump stance on abortion is pro-life and has been taking precautions to have abortions become illegal in the US. Abortion should stay legal in all 50 states because it will help women avoid mental, physical and economic issues.

Approximately 5 to 8 percent of pregnancies are affected by preeclampsia meaning that more than 6.6 million women worldwide suffered from the disease in 2002. Preeclampsia does not just harm the mother, but the child to. Cystic fibrosis harms the baby after it is born. Cystic fibrosis is where mucus builds up in your lungs or pancreas and clog passageways which make the child not able to breathe properly. Taking away the right for women to have the option of abortion would lead to more deaths because women would seek illegal abortions. Before abortions were legal in the US, 265 deaths occurred in the year of 1965 because of illegal abortions.
