4I Model for Transformational Leadership
In 1985, the industrial psychologist Bernard Bass identified and wrote about four basic elements that underlie transformational leadership which is known as 4I model:
1. Idealized Influence(II)
2. Inspirational Motivation (IM)
3. Intellectual Stimulation (IS)
4. Individualized Consideration (IC)

Idealized Influence (II)
Transformational leaders play-act as role models and exhibit a magnetic personality that shape others to want to become more like the leader
Idealized influence can be most uttered through a transformational leader 's disposition to take risks and adopt a core set of values, convictions and ethical principles in the actions he takes
Inspirational motivation denotes to the leader 's power to inspire trust, motivation, need and a sense of goal in his followers. The transformational leader must vocalize a clear vision for the future, communicate expectations of the group and establish a commitment to the goals that have been presented. This panorama of transformational leadership requires superb communication skills as the leader must convey his messages with accuracy, ability and a sense of surety. Other important behaviors of the leader include his continued hope, enthusiasm and ability to point out the positive.

Inspirational motivation:
Motivation really comes down to inspiration. Since motivation comes from within, it is a form of self-inspiration. This process is nurtured by watching others achieve their goals. Most often it is developed by following the example of leaders, who do the right thing for people, communicate frequently, empower vigorously, coach regularly, and sacrifice for others.

3. Intellectual stimulation
Transformational leadership values creativity and liberty among the leader 's followers. The leader backs his followers by involving them in the
