Five situations are given below. Explain how each approach would explain the behavior:
Behaviorism, Psychodynamic, Neuroscience, and Humanism

1. Helping a fellow student who had dropped all their books down the stairs.
A. Behaviorism - The Student will help fellow Student pick up their books. B. Psychodynamic – The Student will help the other student because they know in the back of their mind that it is right.
C. Neuroscience - The Student will walk right pass the student who drop their books not helping them.
D. Humanism- Student will think about helping the fellow student but will not help as he or she passes by them.

2. A new student not wanting to join in any activities at their new school.
A. Behaviorism – The new student may think that the activity or activities are unnecessary. B. Psychodynamic – The new student doesn’t want to join an activity because they don’t really like the activity.
C. Neuroscience – The new student really just wants to be alone.
D. Humanism – The new student feels like it will not help them in any way.

3. A teenager not wanting to eat in front of her friends.
A. Humanism – He or she may have been punish for eating without having manners. B. Psychodynamic – He or she may had a bad experience with her friend when she was younger.
C. Neuroscience – He or she may be afraid to show their teeth
D. Humanism – He or she may think she has bad manners and thinks she is being looked at by her friends.

4. A friend’s mother hoards groceries. She has 3 or 4 of the same product and when she uses 1 she buys 2 or 3 more.
A. Psychodynamic – She buys more than she need because she was taught to buy more than you need. B. Neuroscience – She buys more because she is afraid of running out or not having enough when times become hard.
C. Humanism – She think it is a good idea to buy more.
D. Behaviorism – She may think getting extra groceries are better.

5. A student screams at the teacher who gave a C on a paper they felt earned an A.
A. Behaviorism – The Student feels they are being punished but they have never made a C. B. Psychodynamic – The Student has a fear or getting low grades.
C. Neuroscience – The students may be under the influence and gets angry about the low grade.
D. Humanism- The student will look back on his behavior a to see what caused his grade.
