Supported by a comprehensive central purchasing team, products are selected regularly from Mainland China, Taiwan, Europe and America for readers, securing not only the quality but also the variety of books sold in the branches. The SAP system, furthermore, helps the company in accessing up-to-date publishing information and sales analysis, which have become part and parcel of the retail business.
With the purpose of providing better service to our readers, all professional staff of The Commercial Press retail branches is primed and ready to offer comprehensive services. By organizing cultural events on diversified themes at our bookstores, we are always committed to promote reading and encourage the pursuit of knowledge among our readers.
With its continual efforts, The Commercial Press has received several prizes in recent years, including the Best Bookstore Prize of “The Best Retail Store 2006”by HSBC credit card; the Consumer’s Choice—Grand Prize in cultural business sector from “Hong Kong Corporate Branding Award” co-organized by Ming Pao and Master of Science Programme in Marketing, CUHK for two consecutive years in 2008 and 2009, and the Bronze Prize of Nine Dragons Paper Corporate Social Responsibility Awards from “Hong Kong Print Award” organized by Graphics Arts Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Publishing Professionals Society, Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Leisure and Cultural Services Department. Our CP Plus, mini-bookshop chain at MTR stations, has also received a prize from the “Best MTR Shops Election” hosted by MTR Corporation and Weekend Weekly.
