In May 2012 Motorola Mobility Inc. (MMI) was sold off to Google Inc. MMI was originally part of the Motorola, Inc. that made a name change to Motorola Solutions Inc. (MSI) on January 4, 2011. Motorola Solutions Inc. is trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the MSI symbol, and Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. (MMI) began their trading under the symbol MMI on January 4, 2011. Motorola Mobility Inc. is headquartered in Libertyville, Illinois, United States with geographical operations for the company extending across the USA, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This Fortune 100 Company is a primary provider of innovative mobility solutions, end-to-end broadband systems, and wireless communication devices. MMI is globally established covering more than 70 countries with company operational centers. Motorola Mobility Holdings controls two divisions, mobile devices, and home. The Mobile Devices division provides mobile handheld products and interrelated products and services designed for mobile communications. Some of the division products are voice communications, instant data messaging, voice push-to-talk communications and video. This division is designed to deliver mobile Internet access and content, including multimedia, social networking, navigation, and other mobile applications.
