Imagery –Song of Lawino By Me Originally set in African ideas‚ it is clearly challenging for the text to be turned into a foreign language‚ which in this case‚ is English. No matter‚ the words used are comprehensible and nothing much out of our minds’ imagination power. Lawino‚ the Acoli woman‚ the wife of an abusive husband and the main voice of this song uses this poem to sing out her thoughts. They involve a lot of imagery of different kinds to various everyday things surrounding us.

a civilization that practiced human sacrifice and ritual dances‚ and then one day that civilization no longer exists because another culture decided to conquer them. These people are known to modern society as the Aztecs. In Graciela Limon’s novel‚ Song of the Hummingbird‚ she illustrated how a culture like the Aztecs or Mexica‚ can quickly diminish when there are people such as the Spanish that have very limited understanding about certain subjects. Some people may say that the Aztecs were slaughtered

The Trout Song is among Franz Schubert’s over 600 songs and one that is a listeners’ favorite. It was one of his earliest compositions when he was just twenty-one years old. The Trout Song‚ mainly referred to as Die Forelle‚ in German‚ was composed way back around the year 1817 but it mostly echoed words from a poem written by another German Christian Schubart. employs a number of themes found in some English romantic poems. For example‚ in Alfred Lord Tennyson’s “Ulysses‚” a comparison is drawn to Briony’s novel that suggests that death is not the end of life. In Percy Bysshe Shelly’s “England in 1819‚” the dying king compares to Briony in that they both live in shame‚ constantly seeking atonement. Contrast of Sappho’s Poems with Egyptian Love Poems The ideas of love in the Egyptian love poems are almost similar to Sappho’s idea of love‚ but there is a difference in the way they approach it. In the Egyptian love poem‚ love is portrayed more erotic and passionate and the reader sees things from both the male and female’s point of view while in Sappho’s poetry‚ love is more romantic and passionate and talks more about the deeper feelings of the characters. The writer‚ Phillis Wheatley‚ uses many descriptive details about the natural world in her poem. She compares the sun setting and the new evening with many rural details. For example‚ in line two‚ she says: "The pealing thunder shook the heav’nly plain;" She is referring to the empty plains of a rural area. I also wondered how the poem would sound if she chose to praise the evening using details of an urban setting. You could easily use urban setting details as well as using rural setting details
