Why Is Romeo And Juliet Still Relevant Today
Romeo and Juliet, is a famous play about two lovers from families that didn't get along well. You can see the theme of love in this story in many ways, and how it still relates to our world today. Firstly, how in some places, countries, or religions don't allow certain marriages. Like Romeo and Juliet, there are still families and societies that disapprove of certain relationships. This could be because of religion, culture, or other reasons that are unknown. Even though some of these challenges may be hard, many people today still choose to follow their hearts and pursue love, just like Romeo and Juliet did. Throughout the play, bad communication skills and some misunderstandings lead to bad consequences for Romeo and Juliet. This still applies today, good communication is a must for healthy relationships. When in a relationship with someone you want to have full communication with one another, whether you are going through a rough time or something else is going on. It's important for everyone to be open with each other and be honest with each other to avoid fights or other things that could lead to a result like a breakup. Also, the sacrifices that Romeo and Juliet made for their love show that some people will go to many lengths for the people they love. Romeo and Juliet risked their families, their reputations, and their lives, in order to be together. Although many people these days may not experience such extreme situations, the idea of making sacrifices for love is still very much present in our world, just not as severe. People sometimes make compromises and put the needs of their loved ones above their own. Finally, Romeo and Juliet's sad story warns us about what can happen when people let hate and fighting take
