Romeo And Juliet Relevant Today Essay
Would one die for love? Think about one losing their life over another loved one. Romeo and Juliet is a relevant work for a person in modern time due to it ways of teaching one about love,hold a grudge and also push one to much. These are always ways that Romeo and Juliet are relevant to modern society. No matter how old and out dated works of art are they always find a way to teach one. Romeo and Juliet teaches one not to jump right into love. The Romeo states “Let me be taken, let me put to death” (Shakespeare 1106). It shows one to take their time with love it is a great thing once one finds it. They show that one should not just kill oneself over someone we just met no matter how much they love each other. If someone loves one very much they would love for them to live there life. Romeo and Juliet texts teaches one to not hold a grudge because one day one will regret it. The Capulet states “As rich shall Romeo’s by his lady’s lie Poor sacrifices of our enmity!” (Shakespearean 1145). One day they will be gone and one has held a grudge and will wish they had not. Juliet states ”I will not marry yet ; and when I do,I swear It shall be Romeo ,whom you know I hate,Rather than Paris. These are new indeed” (Shakespearean 1109 ). It helps one see that one’s choices it not always that great for other. Just because one feels they would be best for one person thats not always true. Somethings one needs to give the other one space to see who they want to be with.

Would one still die for love? One can now see the relevance of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet might have been an old out of date pieces of work it still helped to connect to modern day society.
