What Is Jim Ryders Mission Statement
During the Great Depression, Jim Ryders purchase his first truck with the optimistic view being his own Boss. He saw the market gap in the transportation industry that he could plenty’s. He expanded his truck to a fleet of 50. It was not until the 1960, When the company started establish their brand in market. By implementing their vision and mission of the company. They wanted the society to know what the purposes of the company and their contribution to mankind.

“At Ryder, our mission is to provide innovative supply chain and fleet solutions that are reliable, safe and efficient, enabling our customers to deliver on their promises.” (Rydercom, 2017). Before Ryder was officially a company and the mission statement was created he practiced the principles. He wore two watches to remind how important get the product delivered on time to the customer.

There is no marketing that clarifying the company is commercial truck leasing company, nor track material for business. This is all later explained on the company website. Time is money in transportation, so using older equipment can be problematic for the business, older model vehicle requires maintenance that can be deemed to be unreliable. This is also included in the mission statement, stating they provide a quality commercial vehicle. Ryder transportation benefits from using the mission statement it gives the customer a clear and concise understanding the company purposes.
The importance of the mission and vision statement to the drive of the company and how they see their company in the society. The mission statement represents the company foundation of the company, without it, the market may not know what product they are selling. The vision statement does not the defines business as much as the mission statement. It gives the employees, investor, and customer the optimal goal of the company
