The Person I Admire
THE PERSON I ADMIRE
It’s difficult to choose only one person, because we can admire a lot of people in our life. I think it’s nice to admire someone. We have motivation to be better. In some case, it’s good. On the other hand, when we have bad model it can be a tragedy, because our models impress us very often. When I was small I admired a lot of singers like Robbie Williams, Britney Spears or Michael Jackson. Now, when I am older I realized that it’s more important to respect people, who have the biggest meaning for us in our life. I admire more people such as members of my family, some of my close friends and I won’t deny my models from my childhood. I decided to tell us about my uncle, because I really admire him for it what he achieved. His name is Peter. He is forty years old and lives with his family in Prague. He studied at the Faculty of Mathematic and Physics of Charles University. The reason, why I respect him is that he managed to learn these difficult subjects like math and physics not only in Czech language, but he also worked as teacher in Technical University of Berlin. In Berlin, he taught almost four years. In advance, he gained experience a lot. He also traveled through the USA, where he presented the Theory of Krylov subspace methods. It’s a relationship to other mathematical disciplines. He isn’t only interested in math and physics, but he also understands computer science. He won even the I Babuska Prize for the best work in computer science submitted by students and young scientists. Nowadays, he learns math and physics at the Faculty of Mathematic and Physics of Charles University, but he has also another job. He works at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, where he does numerical analysis, numerical linear algebra and methods of Krylov subspace. He is very busy, but successful.
