This book was an out of a blue present given to me by my Pre-K teacher. I always read it. Now, though, it sits on my bookshelf tucked away from the luminous light of day. This book also has a purple border and has a walloping yellow title. As it sits it’s 8in x 6in, and every single inch of it has wrinkles and bends all over. When you open the book it has the traces of Pre-K aroma running through your nose. Also it seems to have some sort of mystery stain on each page. In fact I hid under a table and wouldn't come out. So my teacher, Mrs. Judy, gave me this book. It was a Clifford book! I absolutely adored Clifford books back then. Yes, it may have been torn up and had scribbles all over the inside, but I loved it. Then reality kicked in, sooner or later I would have to come out of the fort of comfort I’ve constructed. And I did. I was moved out of that dark bear cave of mine and joined the class.For the rest of the year I loved going to school. Then towards the end of the year Mrs. Judy gave me the book back. I was so cheerful. When I got home I opened the book and instead of scribbles and nonsense inside there was a note with a picture of me by it signed Mrs. Judy.
This book is very important. It taught me that school isn't that horrible. It also made me more comfortable at school. If it weren’t for Mrs.Judy, I’d probably still be that shy timid person who has no friends and talks to no one. This book symbolizes the love of school and not being shy. Never before that did I think a book would be the most important thing that happened to me. And it’s still hard to believe that it is.
My Clifford book represents a lot. Which is why this book is so important to me. Though it may be wrinkled, bent, and mostly destroyed by now, it still hits that soft spot in my heart. How about you? What important thing do you
