Whenever we travel and go on vacation, we leave our everyday stresses behind. After all, that’s the reason for the vacation in the first place. While that was in progress, I researched businesses I wanted to contact. Once the research and resumes were ready, I wrote and sent letters of introduction and my resume to the different places where I thought I might like to work. So, before I packed up to return to my vacation paradise, I already had an itinerary of interviews lined up.
Returning to Hawaii to Live as a Native, Not as One Who Is on Vacation
For this return visit I decided to rent a car and efficiency for two weeks. That way I could live as a native to be sure I would be making the right decision. As I said, a vacation is quite different from day to day living. Also, making a huge relocation move from New York to Hawaii, I had to be sure I was being wise. There would be no moving back if I hated it.
I must say that those two weeks I spent interviewing, meeting some wonderfully interesting people and, yes, taking some time to vacation, turned out to be two of the best weeks of my life.
