How I learned marshal arts.

Learning new thing can be scary experience. We never know about unseen future that what is going to happen in our life. One of the hardest thing I have ever had to do was learn marshal arts ( taekwondo). When I was 14th years old, I was always afraid of the fight, but I decided that marshal arts was an important skill that I have to learn, I also taught it would be good exercise and help me to become physically and mentally stronger as well self defender. What I did not realize was that learning taekwondo would make me a more confident person.

New things always make me a bit nervous, and my first day of taekwondo class was no exception. After I changed my marshal arts dress in the changing room, I stood on time beside my new friends in the training hall waiting for instructor and other players to show up. After 10 minutes the instructor came over and introduced himself, and a bunch of new and old colleagues joined us. Half of them were younger than me, they didn't seen to be embraced about not knowing how to fight then I began to feel more comfortable.

Right after, we got into training hall, and the instructor had taught us how to start jugging, then we were told to be ready for kicking class. I was advised not to do so hard because that was my first day. A bunch of my friend, they had already taken basic once before, so they took kick pad and went to show me how to hit in target and how to cheat defender. They kicked themselves in the target to teach me how to defense oneself against an opponent's attack. The other trainee, Dipendra, Hari and I were told to stay on to the corner of the hall and shown how to stand on one feet, how to make movement of the legs. One by one, the instructor had told us kick on to the kick pads while they took it up to high and we kicked.

Third, training was not quit that essay for me, but my senior friends and teacher were patient. Things were going on pretty fast. After couple weeks, when I

As I believe that there is always room for improvement, and i just started a new role ,I felt that i need to learn more in order to be able to fulfill my new role and to gain confidence as a trainer from enhancing my knowledge .I feel a lot more confident now after the first three days course.I realize how important is the teacher approach towards the learners, how different the learners are and how different they learn. We discussed about the current teaching practice against theoretical models of teaching and learning .I was able to identify during discussions why a teacher finds easy to teach his or her favourite style when feeling uncomfortable as I felt the same during my first training sessions. I also understand how valuable is to know yourself better and how important is how others view us.…

Training brought up numerous challenges in my life, some of which I learned from, and some in which I’m still trying to overcome. I learned that to be devoted to something, I had to institute time and effort, and that it would demanding. I also gained a new perspective on my life. I have had a lot of lessons in my career, and the first lesson came from early days I was in military in 1995. At that time, everything in the armed forces was very strange to me. We learned a lot of things from simple ones like making bed and folding blankets to difficult ones such as using weapons and hiding landmines. My first lesson came from a simple one which was folding the blanket. After getting up, we had to fold blankets, we had to make them looked like bricks. It took us about twenty minutes to do that. I did not have enough time to do that, because I usually got…

New situations always make me a bit nervous, and my first skating lesson was not the exception. However, it was time to prove that I could do it. Two of my best friends and I went to the Rideau Canal. I have never been there just because I did not like winter. I stood timidly by the side of the ice rink, waiting for some kind of magical help that would make me move, but it did not come. I saw many people of different ages. There were even expert children teaching their parents to skate, and adults having fun trying to move on ice. Although they were enjoying the moment, they did not seem to be embarrassed about not knowing how to skate. I began to feel more at ease.…

Sir, I will train hard and with discipline, remembering the important lessons of Tae-Kwon-Do, courtesy, integrity, self control, perseverance, and the “Unbreakable Tae-Kwon-Do Spirit”. This is the Parker Academy of Martial Arts oath. It is a representation of what we learn in our black belt candidacy program to become better people. Perhaps it is the fact that I have said this oath every day for the last 3½ years that it rubbed off on me and my peers, or maybe the candidacy program has actually shown physical and mental capabilities beyond that of the average person. Either way, I have improved my body, mind, and even spirit in many ways.…
