P1Another main job role and their functions at Sir George Monoux College is a receptionist. Their main role as a receptionist is to make people feel welcome, answer questions, and direct them to where they need to go. In addition to this, they do office work. They handle the phones, in case any want to know Sir Georges Monoux College enquires or need to directions to get to the college etc. ensuring that all the callers and students are taken care, to schedule appointments, send and forward emails, compile reports and keep the office running smoothly and organised
Another job role and their functions at Sir George Monoux College is the role of a librarian. Firstly, the librarian at Sir George Monoux College ensures that everyone is doing their work whether it’s on the computer or at desk, or revising, borrowing a book. The librarian makes sure that the library is a quiet place where people could do individual work which is why at Sir George Monoux College they have a section where if you want to work individually you can or if you’re working with a pair you’d have to be in a different section. Their role is make sure that if the students want to take a book at then they will have to issue it and give back on the due date otherwise the librarian will have to call home and sort it out.
At Sir George Monoux College, they have the role of a career adviser. They provide a number of very important services to individual students offering them advice and career related resources. The career advisers at Sir George Monoux College help students evaluate their interests and abilities. The career advisor may administer written or oral aptitude tests, which pair students' skills with potential career paths. Advisors at Sir George Monoux College provide students with valuable resources regarding different college/universities majors and steps a person should take to obtain a certain career. Being the first point of call is an important role because it helps the whole company. When a customer/supplier comes in a receptionist can get the correct member of staff for the person.
