Since Lebron James has entered the NBA people argued who was better between him and Kobe Bryant or who was closer to playing on the same level as the great Michael Jordan. People use the argument that Kobe is playing closer to Jordan’s performance level because of the amount of champion ships he has won 5 rings to Jordan’s 6 rings.
For those Who Actually watch the game of basketball it is not about how many champion ships a person one for him to be a great basketball because there are plenty of NBA players who were great but weren’t able accomplish every NBA players goal of winning the nba finals like, Charles Barkley, George the “ice man” Gervin who was considered to be one of the greatest shooting guards of all time, “Pistol” Pete Maravich who averaged 24 points throughout his career without a 3 point line or Allen Iverson who every one can Honestly say that he changed the game of basketball forever, but that’s beside the point.
I feel As if People should not compare athlete’s skill level by how many championships they have won but how well they actually play the game of basketball because if being great at basketball was all about winning championships then Bill Russell with an outstanding 11 rings would be the greatest person to ever play the game of basketball.
In my opinion I believe that Kobe Bryant and Lebron James are on the same skill level, one athlete just has more experience in the NBA. Saying Kobe Bryant is better than Lebron James is not a valid argument because they play too different positions and their role on the basketball is completely different, that’s like saying Chris Paul who is starting point guard for the Los Angeles Clippers is better than Dwight Howard who is starting center for the Houston Rockets Chris Paul’s role as a point guard is to distribute the ball and set up plays Dwight Howard’s role is to be the defensive anchor, keeping the offensive team from scoring from under the basket.
