Home Means Everything
Home means everything. It is the sanctuary you live in. It is the place where you share happy times with your loved ones, without love and happiness you could not have a home. A house by itself is not a home. Without love or compassion, the house is just an empty building with no warmth or love. It is essential that you live with someone or something that makes you truly happy, because without it you could not really call your house your home. Your home shields you from the weather and keeps you warm when you are cold and separates you from the outside and leaves you to live in your own world inside the safety and comfort of your house. It is a great luxury to have a wonderful thing like this to be able to spend great time with your loved ones without having to worry about the outside elements such as the frigid cold and the scorching heat and the roaring thunderstorms during the spring time. Since you do not have to worry about these acts of Mother Nature, you can focus more on your family and enjoy the safety of your home. Home is a wonderful sanctuary you live in. It is the safe place where you can spend time with your loved ones worry free of the treacherous weather outside of the warmth of your home. Without home you are a man with no stability and no sense of security, some might say that you would be nothing. So home was, is, always will be

While reading Anna Quindlen’s “Homeless” we are faced with the difficult question: Is a home everything? Quindlen has come to the conclusion, that yes your home is everything, and I cannot help but to agree with her. There is an understanding that there is a difference between a house and home. Whereas the building you are living in is referred to your house, your home is the compassion and comfort you feel in that house with your family and friends. Quindlen states that in your home you have, “certainty, stability, predictability, privacy” (Quindlen par. 4). Although there are downsides to owning a house, there is comfort and familiarity in one’s home because of the ability to have somewhere private to withdraw and family that helps raise…

The overall message in this essay is that people make what they have home. If it’s living in a box or on the street they will always call that place home. It doesn’t matter what you have but how you feel about what you have. If you’re ok with where you call home then that fine. The real message in this essay is that not all people depend on items or things they have to make them happy.…

The purpose of owning a house in the modern age is mostly associated with the idea that we have to settle down with a family of our own. The truth behind the ideology is that homes have been essential to primitive human survival; it has never been about family. Without shelter, our bodies would be exposed to the natural climate and other dangers which could result in sickness such as hypothermia. In shorter terms a house was originally used as a defense method that would combat natural threats. (Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, 2016) However having a home does not necessarily guarantee that you won’t become sick. Sometimes, the problem is on the inside.…
