Ethics During Change Change is a very consistent facet, which is no stranger in any shape, form or fashion to the business world. This is also applicable no matter the industry, scale, or dynamic. It is most notably common for change to be constant for business to sustain success during the challenges and equally vital that all organizations evaluate the need to assess the changes necessary. Interestingly enough, as the need or demand for change occurs, then crucial questions arise about ethics during change management must be acknowledged, honored, and answered by the leaders who instigate and implement those very changes. “Companies face many types of challenges, from financial strain to competition. They can also be in violation of ethics when they engage is situations or deals that directly benefit themselves but do not help the department, employees, company, or stakeholders. Codes of ethics have to be set, defined, and managed in efforts to hold their employees responsible and accountable for their behavior and decisions. It must also prohibit the employees from personal gain from using their work relationships, experience, work equipment and other tools that are the possession of the company to use for their own personal gain. In conclusion, there are many ethical considerations that organizations may face when dealing with organizational changes.     Ethical behavior within a company is very important to its future and success. This type of behavior is not just important for the employees to follow, but for the entire company. In 2001, a failing company called Enron was involved in numerous unethical behaviors. For example, Enron’s Chief Financial Officer temporarily suspended their “code of ethics” not once, but twice in order to partake in personal financial gain.
