He was promoted and demanded everyone to bow down to him. He grew anger and rage with one man. Haman was seeking revenge upon Mordecai but he had one problem, and it was that in Xerxes eyes Mordecai was praised for saving his life. Haman was with his wife and friends venting to them about Mordecai and they gave him the brilliant idea that he should “set up a sharpened pole that stands 75ft tall” (Esther 5:9) “impale Mordecai on it” (Esther 5:9)He was going to ask Xerxes and while he got there, before he could speak his mind the king asked for advise “what should i do to honor a man that truly pleases me ?”(Esther 6:5) Haman went on and on how he should be praised, thinking it was for him, not realizing it was for Mordecai. All the things Haman said should be done were done for mordecai and led by him which led him to be enraged and embarrassed , to him it was mockery. Xerxes then was against the whole annihilation of the Jewish people. Xerxes contradicted himself thinking it was wrong of Haman to annihilate the Jewish people. Xerxes was just a puppet. Did whatever people told him to do and was just gullible.
Esther and Haman fight for xerxes the puppet but ultimately Esther has won to save her people. Esther shows that to do right and to be a leader you must have courage. God will help the people that do right by him, they must not fear man but only fear God. Pride, power, and selfishness gets you nowhere, the noble Haman learned this in an ironic way. Just because someone is a leader does not mean they are smart with their choices, and are just a puppet of your
