Many students of today are having hard time learning because they focus on other things that really catch their attention. That’s why most of them fail in their classes and worst of all, they get out of school

Different excuses and reasons are being raised but still they fall into one principle that learning depends on the person’s attitude, the way he or she look and respond to things and making the best of a situation.

This study focuses on the effective learning skills and strategies that would help numbers of students survive in their studies. Also, this would help them get rid of low marks and lastly, this study would let them know the strategies to have fun and learn at the same time.

According to Harry Emerson Fosdick, “No steam or gas ever drives anything until it is confined. No Niagara is ever turned into light and power until it is tunneled. No life ever grows until it is focused, dedicated, disciplined.” God has blessed each and every one of us with intellect, emotion, ability and individuality. He had given us the dominion to govern ourselves. Every person, every student is a powerhouse of great potential and a storehouse of abounding raw resources. But these gifts are useless unless directed, enhanced and developed through self-discipline. What Does Discipline Require?

In setting your goals, you must define your short term, medium and long range targets. Realistic and attainable goals give direction and motivation. Without them, much in life is wasted. You will find yourself in doing a little of this and a little of that and hardly accomplishing anything. No engineer, doctor and other professional has mastered his art or craft by accident. They all strived for excellence. So, to be successful in your chosen career, you must first do everything you could while you’re still young and seeing school. 2.STRIVING TOWARDS EXCELLENCE

After setting goals within the limits of your interests and abilities, work at them. Work is doing. It requires effort and time. For work to be rewarding, you must strive for excellence. Always give your best shot. This is the way of a winner. Excellence is not perfection. Nothing is perfect but there’s always a room for improvement. To strive for excellence means to develop and improve fully what you already have---your intellectual, emotional, moral, social, physical and spiritual potentials. To strive for excellence requires making the best choices, giving all you can, and improving on every task and decision.

In this study, researcher has raised different perspectives that would help numbers of students survive their studies. From the word DISCIPLINE are the essentials of good study habits for better and more effective learning.

According to the Webster Dictionary, diligence means constant, steady effort to accomplish a task. Diligent means industrious, careful, and steadily attentive. Responsibilities, quality work and perseverance come to mind when we talk of diligence.

Part of life’s responsibilities is the wise use of given opportunities. Not everybody can go to school and learn. There are thousands who want to study but lack the money to do so. For others who want to learn, schools are too far from their home and there are not enough teachers.

Most of the time, students grumble that many of their subjects are irrelevant to their job or career. Whatever vocation you choose you will always need these three things: to develop accurate and logical thinking; to practice communicating clearly, to refine feelings and understanding. For the students, be diligent then and appreciate what you have. And whatever you do, do it with all your might. Through the price of diligence is costly when you are earning it; diligence becomes priceless when you have gained it.
