I have two different experiences with the Dell Company as I have two products from Dell one is a basic laptop with a good configuration and the other high end gaming laptop Alienware. The technical support and the other customer support for both the product varies more though they are from same company. The Alienware form Dell is costly when compared to its Dell basic version laptops. The technical service for Alienware met the exceeding expectations whereas the service for normal laptops is just met the expectations the difference I found was the wait time is very high whenever I call for technical assistance for my basic laptop other hand the same company provides good quality service for its high end gaming laptops. Overall I still wanted to go with Dell products as they have long…

The performance metrics that are most valuable to Dell from the inputs are mostly from the business context performance measures which include number and size of competition, diversity from competition, market size, and their competitive position within the industry should be the most important to them since they have so much competition in the industry (Epstein, 2008, p. 169). One way that I found through research that Dell has come up with to stay unique and making them competitive with their competition was by creating “the Dell Precision T5500 and T7500 which deliver up to 90 percent better multi-threaded digital content creation application performance versus previous generation systems” (Bolen, 2009). “The new systems are purpose-engineered for professionals in engineering, media, entertainment, biosciences, exploration, economic modeling and risk analysis” (Bolen, 2009). Dell feels that this will put them a step ahead of competition in the professional field. This is a great way for them to get ahead of technology and to be innovative.…

A simple fact that has surely helped to catapult Dell Inc. upwards within the PC industry is the “Direct Model” approach that they introduced and pioneered. No other company was offering such a low-cost option, where consumers had the freedom to tailor a PC system to their needs. The resultant lower cost of this model coupled with the growing consumer behavior and need, allowed Dell to create a significant gap between themselves and all other competitors. Cutting out the retailer, reseller and distributor, Dell was able to save 5-7% and maintain a wide gap, not giving up any ground until other companies were forced to restructure operations and inventory strategies, and consider Dell-like approaches to the direct-to-consumer model. Dell also…
