Employment Legislation
Provide information that relates to aspects of employment covered by law.
Answer the following questions:

What are the main features of employment legislation? Why does this legislation exist?

This covers the employments rights, equality and discrimination and health and safety. This legislation exists because it protects employees and employers. What types of information and advice can be obtained on the Employment Rights and Responsibilities from the legislation?

The types of information that can be obtained are: Employments contracts, employees entitlements, employees entitlements legislation, antidiscrimination legislation and employees support.

What are your rights and responsibilities as an employee and your employer’s rights and responsibilities in relation to?

We have the right not to discriminate against on the grounds of age, gender, race, disability, religion or belief and sexual orientation due in recruitment and from first day of employment for as long as we are employed, this right is legally protected.
The rights to equal pay will cover payment and all terms of employment.
