Purpose:
To observe and record Le Chatelier’s Principle on how temperature & concentration change affects in a reaction.
Apparatus and materials;
See on chemistry lab manual 0993e chan henry j johnstone- g pawelchack Vancouver community college. Page 52… le chateliers principle.
See the detail from the le chateliers principle
Prelab Questions:
1. reached equilibrium
2. Solution A has been added
3. A+C- Orange. A (red) reacted with the added substance.
4. When C-yellow reacts solution changed to red. White solids formed, since the acidity changed the solution.
Discussion Ideas:
1. After the disturbed solution Le Chatelier’s Principle shifted in the system to form equilibrium. This disturbance was observed while temperature, concentration and pH of the reaction was changing.

2. Table I- Stress:-
Since the product side is having higher concentration, equilibrium shifts to the right. Table II- Stress:- Since the product side is having higher concentration, pH equilibrium shifts to the right.
Table III- Stress is
When system was heated, temperature- Equilibrium shifted since there was higher concentration on the product side.
3.Experimental error, is hard to differentiate by looking the colours, there for it may not be accurate as it was expected.
Questions:
1. Cu was completely changed to products, and can be observed for cu++ a role that shows that only the scn ion can change the colour.

2. In part I, system II the reaction of HNO3 causes a shift for the concentration of H+ was reacting and also observed the reciprocal of the forward reaction to the system of the reaction.

3. The addition of the acid clears and changed the colour, then pH shifted during the reaction. Since acid has high concentration The system stayed acidic.

4. H2o, water
