The current research paper purpose is to lend support to the hypothesis by exploring the relationship between poverty and teen births among urban teens. Using data from Child development Supplement Codebook with selected variables from the 1997‚ 2002‚ 2007‚ and 2009-2013 CDS‚ I observed that being in poverty‚ and being a female increased the likelihood of having a teen birth.
