Seemingly a caricature of Mildred, she is a perfect product of her society, berating Montag for reading the poem, criticizing the poem for its "stupidity," and indulging in stupid, selfish banter. She has been married thrice, divorcing her first husband and accepting the suicide of her second husband, while living with the fact that her third husband blew his brains out. She has also had numerous abortions, "putting up" with her children only three days per month on their days off from school, in which she controls them, neglects them, and trivializes their existence.
