She is someone who is not afraid to give herself up completely, her body, her mind, and her soul. She displays the following qualities:
She is beautiful (1 peter 3:3-5) - and yet understands that her beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of her inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful.
She is submissive (1 peter 3:1-3) – and yet her conduct wins her husband over to believe everything she says.(1 peter 3:6) She calls her husband master and yet understands that she is not his servant. Submission to her does not mean she should give up efforts to influence and guide her husband.
She is Independent (Proverbs 31: 10-28) and yet believes in synergism - A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value; she brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar, she gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
