Describe with examples the kinds of influences that affect children and young people development including:
1. Background
2. Health
3. Environment
1) Background of a child / young people can be effecting the development if there is a lack of financial income in a family. This can be stressful for all involved including the child/ young people. They can notice the sadness and incapability of what their parents are able to afford. Such as good educational means e.g. computer, fieldtrips, additional learning books etc.
The effect could be that the child / young people can fall behind in class and social interaction with other kids, this may lead to a lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem because the child / young people is not accepted by other children interaction in day to day life.
2) Health of a child / young people can be effecting the development if the child / young people has a low or bad eyesight. Sometimes this may not noticed on time by the child / young people parents and is only observed by the teacher in the class. The teacher may observe the child / young people is lacking behind in class with e.g. reading, writing and during the use of visual training means (projector screens) etc. in class.
The teacher will need to convey this observation to the child / young people Parents and advise them to visit an optician for following through to a professional solution.
The child / young people may be effected as the child / young people is not able to fully interact during certain class exercises and might delay the child / young people development. The child / young people may start feeling he/she is less clever that the others and might lose confidence and ability to focus to the class exercise. The child / young people might be shy of giving an ‘incorrect’ answer as others might make fun of the child / young people 3) Environment of a child / young people can be effecting the development if the environment where the child / young people grows up is noisy or an overcrowded area with a lower or high-end quality neighborhood. It impact the relationship with the parents, school achievements, social and emotional behavior. For example a child / young people growing up in a noisy and aggressive environment, witnessed by the child / young people at home from their parents might traumatize them which might lead to easy shock in their emotional behavior towards others.
This could be noticed at school by the teacher if the child is sitting in the corner or alone during noisy activities (screaming) as to the child / young people it may seem as an unsafe/unhappy activity and the child / young people does not want to participate or might respond with aggressive behavior (beating) towards other children without reason, as the child / young people is copying the strategy seen at home during such noisy events.

Health problems are also personal factors, such as Asthma, which will affect the child’s breathing. A childs health will also be affected during pregnancy if the mother is taking drugs or smoking. This could result in premature birth and low birth weight, which can then lead to a slower development rate. If a child is small this can lead to them not being able to do things that other children do e.g. run as fast. It can also lead to bullying.…
