Summer work Assignment

Physiological disorders, their nature, signs and symptoms

The purpose of this assignment is to:
Understand the nature of physiological disorders.

Scenario:

You have been asked by North Middlesex Hospital to create two information leaflets explaining the nature of two named physiological disorders and their signs and symptoms.

The most successful way to achieve this is to create a separate leaflet for each chosen physiological disorder.
Everyone has to do diabetes as one of the physiological disorders. You have a choose of choosing one more from the following:
-

Rheumatoid arthritis
Coronary heart disease
Stoke

Part one of the leaflet:
Explain the nature of TWO named physiological disorders.
(Below is a check list of what must be included)

1. Physiological disorder
2. Describe the disorder
3. Causes of the disorder
4. Overall changes
5. Physiological changes as a result of the treatment
6. Factors influencing the development of the disorder

Explain the signs and symptoms related to two named physiological disorders.
(Below is a check list of what must be included)

1. Describe the initial signs and symptoms of the disorder
2. Describe the more alarming signs and symptoms of the disorder which would determine the patient to seek medical advice

3. What are the signs and symptoms developed at a later stage of the disorder
