Over the past three months, I’ve noticed several changes in the office: tardiness, downtime, increased cost due to overtime, poor work quality, and break time variances. These changes seem to be a direct result of Jessica’s medical leave. The current team support model is one secretary for every two executive members: Jack Snyder supports Ralph Alane and Jessica Hilo, while Ruth Disselkoen supports Samuel and Frank Daley. The only difference between the two teams is Jack’s team has a full time assistant, while Ruth’s team has a part-time assistant. Since Jessica’s workload has been temporarily assigned to Ralph and Frank Daley, it has created a workload imbalance. Ruth has now been taking shorter breaks and using overtime to complete her work, however, her quality of work has declined. Jack, on the other hand, has been finishing early, taking longer breaks and coming in late a few times per week. Neither of their actions is in the best interest of the team.…

I have written Pamela's section as I do not want us to get behind or cause more work for other team members. We have all agreed that our assignments need to be completed for the team on Saturday. If Pamela completes her portion, we can discuss how to handle this as a team. We should, at this point assume that Pamela has other priorities.…

Each week we will divided up different parts of the assignment and if there is more work for one then the following assignment that person won’t have as much as the other teammates. We will try to contact a team member all ways possible via email, text and phone calls. If we have tried for a few days and no response we will work together to get that team members job done. We will let that team member know that we have tried every avenue possible and because of that we will write that down on our team evaluation. Evan Fernandez always brings a positive attitude to the group which facilitates our group events well. For example during the envelopes with letters Evan was the outsider looking in for our group. During this time he proceeded to still help the group succeed even though they were supposed to not participate in helping the group. Even though his help did not lead to a solution for anyone’s puzzle he did what he could to help the group succeed. The only disruptive role Evan has filled is being absent on occasion. For example during the day we met to write our group paper he had family issues which lead to a lack of his input.…

My first team member is Latish Jenkins; she applies herself constantly in expressing her ideas and recommendations to complete assigned projects. It was determined that Latish is very organized, compulsive, private, trustworthy and practical. The assessment related those traits to a career as an office manager, accountant, business manager, tax agent and public servant. Latish would be most effective in the implementer role in constructing daily work plans and helping to ensure that those plans are effective in meeting our departmental goals (Merchant, 2014). Only negative affect I can foresee from this role is that if changes do have to be made then it may take more time for her to adapt to these changes due to her…

Going through this project I was faced with many challenges, challenges we had discussed in class that I had thought I was prepared for. I was faced with group issues from lack of communication to time issues and conflicting schedules. I met these challenges by simply asking Tyler what I needed to do, if there was any extra research I could do or if I could help pay for anything extra. As far as the conflicting schedules go we were able to work around others work schedules as much as possible, but with everything nothing will work out perfect and some sacrifices always have to be made.…

Multitasking/Time Management - When Delana Sullivan is not covering the front desk she does not manage her time wisely. She finds unnecessary things to do to avoid helping her co-workers. She should be able to help the staff complete the tasks in their buckets. She spends a lot of time sending unnecessary emails and roaming around the office. This prevents her from being valuable to the needs of our practice. I have to constantly remind her of what she should be doing. If I am away from the office Delana roams around and does not do what I ask to be doing. I get several complaints from coworkers about her “hanging out with IT guy”, taking extended lunches, disappearing for long periods of time.…
