I have applied for a position as a Medical Transcriptionist at Arrowhead Hospital to get back into the medical field. When I graduated from High School, I decided that I wanted to be a Medical Assistant. At that time, I was employed by a company that was in the business of building houses. Once I graduated with my Associates Degree in Medical Assisting, I decided that I wanted to take my medical career further and continued my education with a course in Surgical Technology. Upon completion of my course work in the Surgical Technology program I was required to complete an externship at Phoenix Children’s Hospital within the pediatric neurosurgery department. This was an extremely challenging task as emotionally, I was not ready to deal with the emotional impact of helping babies that were so ill and sometimes terminal. I completed my externship and graduated from the program and at that time, I decided to continue my employment in the homebuilding business. In 2005, the real estate market started to take a turn for the worse and my position in homebuilding was eliminated. Shortly after this, I started a family and made the choice to stay at home with my children while they were young. I am now ready to re-enter the workforce and my past experience in the medical field complements the training that I have received as a Medical Transcriptionist.…

I am applying for the medical billing position that is being offered here in Dr. Burn’s office. I have some knowledge of Medical Billing because I had worked for a clinic locally in the past. I was faced with a challenge ten months ago when the construction company I had been managing was sold which resulted in major cuts. When I was faced with the challenge of looking for a job I remembered through my experience at the clinic listening to the volunteer doctors who would come in regularly with the same complaint, “The biller just quit again!” That reflection helped me to discover that this would be the direction I would go in. I taught myself the system they were using, which was extremely intense. My one attribute with regard to succeeding is that I have a burning desire to do my best at anything I take on.…

I want to be a Medical Administrative Assistant at Vanderbilt hospital to honor my late sister and my parents. When I was 18 years old my sister Debbie died from cancer. The majority of my childhood and teenage years were spent in hospitals and the majority of my parent's money went to paying the doctors. During this period of my life I thought medicine was doing more harm than good. Because I was older at the time of Debbie's death my perception about medicine changed and I became motivated to find out why medicine costs so much and why some procedures cost more than others? So I studied hard, became Valedictorian of my class, earning a full scholarship to Vanderbilt University and now I'm ready to become a member of the Vanderbilt hospital community. It would be a great honor to secure one of the three Medical Administrative Assistants positions.…

The MAF Translator is a conversion interface to allow the use of late model GM Mass Airflow (MAF) sensors on Second Generation Mitsubishi DSM (Eclipse, Talon, Laser) and “3S” (3000GT/Stealth) vehicles. The late model GM MAF sensors offer lower intake restriction than stock which boosts horsepower and improves turbo response. Inside the Translator, there are several user adjustments which permit tuning of the airflow signal to the ECU (Engine Control Unit). Increasing or decreasing the airflow signal sent to the ECU will cause the ECU to deliver more or less fuel to the engine. The controls in the Translator allow adjustments under different operating conditions (idle, cruise, boost, and rpm) to allow the user to tune for optimum fuel efficiency or performance. The Translator also has an AUX adjustment for controlling fuel differently when a trigger wire is energized (to compensate for other fueling equipment such as N2O, Propane, or Alcohol injection)…

In spite of these differences, the similarities are striding. First, both cities are the political centers of their countries. The president of France lives in the heart of Paris, in the Elysees Palace. Likewise, the president of the United States has its meeting place in Washington, in the Capitol. Second, the two cities look similar. L’Enfant, the French engineer who designed Washington, was greatly influenced by the layout of the capital of France. For this reason, many of the buildings and monuments in Washington are symmetrically located in views of one another, just as they are in Paris. Both cities are also the sites of magnificent monuments, important historical landmarks, fine museums, beautiful parks, and board, treelined avenues. Finally, tourism is as important for Washington as it is for Paris Every year millions of tourists from all parts of the world visit these cities to view their attractions.…

It was a sunny day in Dallas on the 10th day of July, 2014. I had a united airline boarding pass in my hand, waiting in this long line with my boyfriend as we embark on our first vacation for Dubai, United Arab Emirate. He is from a family of 6. He was the last born of the family. I had known him for about 6months and during that time I had grown very fond of him. Our relationship began to flourish and that in the near future we would begin to grow closer. We both needed a break from our stress filled lives and I was hoping I could help him overcome whatever tragedy happen in his life because I didn’t understand why he was depressed and get drunk most of the time. He had told me about few things that has transpired between him and his past relationship, but it just didn’t explain all of his emotional problems. Throughout the plane ride, He spent most of the time asking the flight attendants for tasty juice and alcohol. He looked out the window with longing eyes. His eyes seem to be passing a message across to me, but I don’t quite understand. I didn’t understand what was missing from his life.…
