Around one hundred fifty years ago, two superior, enemy armies faced each other outside a crossroads town in Pennsylvania. Neither army’s commander planned to battle at Gettysburg, but the assault took on a life of its own as soldiers in blue and gray rushed to the noise of bullets whizzing past them. Here, the battle would last for three days, leaving approximately 7,000 Americans dead and 30,000 wounded. The “vain and bad-tempered” (“Killer”), man Meade was ordered to take command of the Union army three days before the definitive battle, failing to eradicate Lee’s wrecked army, managing to let the army escape across the Potomac River before it could be seized, and not following through with the Henry Wager Halleck’s orders.…

Now that we have established that our supposed “greatest prime minster” was a horrendous racist I will go onto side negatives second argument which states that His failure to handle French and English relations makes him unfit to be ranked above all other prime ministers. In fact during John A. MacDonald’s time in power his inability to handle the relations left one of Macdonald’s political enemies dead, I am talking about Louis Riel. He was an activist that fought for the rights of the Metis people but Macdonald called for him to be hung because he could not compromise his values. This is especially shameful he’s compared to his successor Sir Wilfred Laurier who was able to expertly handle both the French and English. This was present when…

I did not think about the role of Fr. Pfleger as an image of a father for all children who has no father’s figure in the community, that is a good point. The case of John Turner, in Anderson book, is a good example of how those young men in those communities struggle “by the luck of an effective model, or a decent father,” and yet John in his extreme needs, approached to Anderson (an unknown person), looking for an advise of a man, “might I have word with you.” Because Fr. Pfleger lives in the communities for so long, he knows everyone and all the news in the community, he plays not only a role of a “father,” but also as someone with Godly authority. He is a prophetic leader who stands for African American communities in the name of God. Somehow…
