A Visit to the Seabeach on Puri
Free Sample The Goddess Within for by Gloria Star subrata Dutta November 13, 1957 01:44 AM Calcutta, India
After my initial immersion into the study of astrology -- when learning the basics was a fascinating challenge -- I began to explore the multidimensional nature of astrology and metaphysics. It was quite clear that women and men experience and express the energetic qualities symbolized in their charts differently. Being a woman, I chose to delve into the gender-differences from a woman's point of view. That writing resulted in what you'll read in this report. I hope you enjoy this view of 'you'!" - Gloria Star

Projection of Your Real Self
Sometimes showing the world who you really are is not easy, and sometimes the world may not respond as you had hoped! It's helpful to take a look at the differences and similarities between the attitudes, impressions and images you project and the person who resides at the core of your being. With your Sun in Scorpio your ego is driven by a need to be almost enigmatic. You're more comfortable when at least a little mystery surrounds you, and you can exude a strong level of sensual charm. You're rarely halfway about anything, and your intensity can be daunting to those who are uncomfortable with confrontation. Since your Sun speaks of "who you think you are," you may think that you're more mysterious than you are in actuality! No bother - you're still a mystery to most, so you're safe! Your Ascendant is the face you present to the world, and shows how others see you. Your Ascendant, or rising sign, is Virgo. Through this influence, you may be somewhat the perfectionist in your appearance and may be most comfortable when you feel well-groomed. Others may view you as detail-oriented, which has its advantages if you know what you want. You may be extremely aware of your physical body, to the extent that you know when anything is not working properly. You'd better keep a nail file in your pocketbook, since you'll fiddle with

“Astronomer’s Wife, by Kay Boyle, is an enlightening story of a woman, Mrs. Katharine Ames, who is very much alone in the world she exists in. Her husband, an astronomer, is a man who is not fulfilling her emotional needs, due to the love and devotion he has for his profession. Due to her state of vulnerability and emotional distress, a plumber who visits the villa of Mrs. Ames and Mr. Ames demonstrates characteristics which cause Mrs. Ames to think of how little her husband is connected to her. She ultimately leads herself to believe men are either of the mind or of the body. “Astronomer’s Wife” demonstrates the distinctions of humans between their physical nature and the need to stimulate their intellectual desires through…

Barbary pirates wrecked havoc on American trade from 1801 to 1815, causing the United States to lose nearly two million dollars in ransoms and bribes. The economy began to sink under the heavy request of the Barbary States, and the young nation became forced to borrow money from other countries in order to sustain itself. The Barbary states marked a collection of nations located in North Africa, which practiced state-supported piracy. These nations included Morocco, Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli. Barbary pirates began to tax American merchant ships ever since the country first gained its independence, but it was not until 1801 that Thomas Jefferson decided to stop the practice of bribe payments. In 1787, America signed a tribute…

Although Blackbeard is seen to some as the scum of the earth, he became one of the most famous pirates in the world by stealing people’s treasures, obliterating their lives, and robbing them of their happiness. Blackbeard, also known as Edward Teach, was born around 1680 in Bristol, United Kingdom (Thoughtco.com, 1). Teach saw a lot of action as a child during Queen Anne’s War which lasted from 1702 - 1713 (Thoughtco.com). Being a curious young man, he decided to become a privateer under Queen Anne. A privateer was given permission to challenge and fight enemy ships. Privateers are pirates that have legal consent to fight enemies from their country.…

In five months alone, over 3,000 sea lion pups, at a point teetering towards death, washed ashore on Southern Californian beaches, fifteen times more than in past years, due to toxic algal blooms. Merriam Webster calls algal blooms, “rapid and excessive growths of a plankton population.” Since 1998, scientists have been aware of sea lions and their pups being intoxicated by domoic acids from toxic algal blooms. Agricultural and suburban areas are the main culprits as excess fertilizer and pesticides from fields and lawns are washed away in urban runoff and travel to our oceans by stormdrain. The nutrients in fertilizers and pesticides are overfeeding the algae, producing toxic algal blooms that expel poisonous…

While there are certain commonalities in the approach to the freedom and jurisdiction of the sea that is taken by Grotius, and the stance adopted by Pufendorf, there are also significant differences. These differences primarily manifest themselves in notions of whether portions of the ocean can be privately owned. The implications for piracy are affected in different ways according to the philosophical template that is adopted. According to Grotius, as outlined in Mare Liberum, the sea is international territory and belongs to no country or power in particular.…

I enjoy looking at my horoscope just at much as the next person to try to see how my day or month will go, but the vagueness and randomness of this type of astrology leaves me skeptical. The descriptions of people and how they match up to their sign don’t always seem to hold value behind it (our in class experience for example) because everyone can be adventurous at times, or stubborn when they need to be. I believe that I do correlate with some traits of an Aries, because I do tend to be quite impatient and energetic, but I can’t say that I am much of a daredevil or very adventurous at all. Saying that depending on where planets were when you were born determines your personality seems to be a little bit of hocus pocus to me, but I must agree that looking up your horoscope for the day or trying to see if your matches up their sign is an engaging process that intrigues…

The biological sex of a person can be described by their physiological characteristics and differences (WHO, 2013), however gender is defined as how we are perceived and expected to behave within society, for example being feminine, wearing heels and lipstick, or being masculine, having a hairy chest or big muscles (Cummings, 1995). There are many explanations that try to describe the shaping of an individual’s health, mind and longevity, such as biological, social and constrained choice models of theory (Kuhlmann & Annandale, 2012).…
