A teacher that has influence your life
A teacher that has influence your life

As one grows and changes from a child to an adult, one looks back at one’s life and the many memories. Since one spent five days a week in school, it is no surprise that many of these memories are about school. One probably spent more time at school then at home as a child. As one looks back upon these memories there is one teacher that we still cannot forget her name and still remember her face after so many years. These memorable teachers could have had a negative or positive impact on our lives but luckily in my case the teacher I remember had a positive impact on my life. ‘Till the day of today I still remember my fourth grade teacher Mrs. Stacks. Mrs. Stacks kind of looked like Mrs. Doubtfire to be honest. She was warm and funny and had a captivating personality. Since the moment I walked into the class I felt welcomed. Mrs. Stacks was no easy cookie. She had a set of rules that had to be followed but her class didn’t feel in any way stressful.
When she taught lessons to the class, she made sure everyone was engaged into the lesson. She had many hands on activities. We used to go into the school garden for science to learn about certain things such as the life of a butterfly. I remember once going outside and doing a rocket experiment. To help our class remember our spelling words, she would hold spelling bee’s on Thursday’s. There was not one person in the class who didn’t receive at least a “B” on their spelling test the next day.
I believe the reason that everyone loved her was because the students felt that she actually loved us in return. She rewarded us when we used to do well and I believe this technique motivated her students to excel. I will never forget Mrs. Stacks and what an amazing teacher she is. I hope one day I can impact and influence my students in the profound way she impacted my life.

Henrey treated each and every student like they were special. Mrs. Henrey acted as if all of her students were her children. She called us her daughters and sons on many occasion. She also showed us that we were special by her actions. At the beginning of every class we all got to share a happy moment that happened in the past day. This part of class was always my favorite because it was always so positive and it forced you to look on the brighter side of things. At the end of each semester, Mrs. Henrey gave every student a piece of paper that had her personal email and her phone number on it. Also on the paper was a note explaining that when we went to college, if there ever something that we needed we could email her and ask for her help. Memorable teachers are not the ones, who are the most pleasant to their students, but they are not the toughest ones either, they are the one that make you work for your knowledge, and you appreciate it, naturally much later in life. Attending elementary school is one of the most preceptive moments of a child's life. By both teachers and students, I was considered a “teachers pet.” A majority of my teachers had always chosen me as a classroom helper or as a positive behavioral example for the rest of the classmates to mimic. My second grade teacher, Mrs.Minor disliked my goody-two-shoes attitude, and what seemed purposely at the time, belittled me. Mrs.Minor yelled at me for correcting her or for finishing my work too quickly. she allowed me to feel inferior. I was frightened of her and this made me feel awful about my education, myself and especially her. I was so afraid to go to school because of her words and attitude towards me that my mother had to volunteer in my class so that I would go back. This memory of Mrs.Minor has been embedded in my mind until this day, because of her attitude I am more shy and quite in school. This is a clear example of how teachers can affect a child's education.…

Mother Teresa stated, “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are endless.” It was those kind words that I remember from each individual teacher I had growing up. I remember spending countless hours learning with different techniques from different teachers. I’ll never forget Mrs. Marie Simcoe, for she was that kind voice echoing endlessly. She was my kindergarten teacher. I remember always wanting to help her and to be just like her. She was kind hearted and soft spoken. She taught with care and did everything she could to get her students to understand without a word of frustration.…
