A study on effectiveness of training programs of

OBJECTIVE: * To study the training and development program adopted by GODREJ GROUP OF COMPANIES.

* To study whether there is significant association between training effectiveness, performance and experience.

* To find whether the employees are satisfied with the present training program conducted by Godrej group of companies.

* To find out the major drawbacks of training and development programs in Godrej.

Statement of the problem:
The study is made to know the effectiveness of training programme in GODREJ SARA LEE LTD PONDICHERRY, which is an important problem which an organization should look up on. To achieve this strategy, the organization has to train and develop its most valuable resource i.e. Human Resource. Only a well-trained human resource can introduce quality products. In view of the above, I have decided to study the “training effectiveness” activities in an organization which will help me to work in the HR field and contribute my best efforts in the organization where I'll be working in the future.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

PRIMARY DATA COLLECTION:
Primary data is collected by use of structured questionnaires.

Sample Method
The sampling method adopted for the study was convenience sampling. The universe of the study is those people who have undergone the training and development program of IBM.
Sample size
The survey on the study of the training and development program adopted by IBM is conducted by taking a sample size of 50 from the population. The data is then analysed using bar diagrams.
• Graphical representation in the form of bar diagrams
• Percentage method is used for calculation
SECONDARY DATA COLLECTION:
Secondary data is collected from the books, periodicals and literature
