At Elms High School, and Indian-American boy names Ravi is constantly bullied and insulted for his religion and race by two jocks named Bradley and Bernard.Emily who is goth with midnight hair is goth who is taunted by three popular girls named Kelli,Bridget,and Heather who abusing that they would actually be friends.Dane has inherited an old secluded house in the woods from his late uncle's will.The outcasts are all invited to a video shoot by thier friend Kurtis who asked Ravi if he could come with his new video camera and shoot behind the scenes for him.At the video shoot Ravi goes into the empty bathroom to clean his lenses off.When Bradley and Bernard come in laughing because they have trapped all to themselves.Bernard holding Ravi in a head lock shows Ravi that Bradley is going to plummet his camera to the ground."Bradley runs past down the field and ohhh slams the camera on the floor seeing the little boy cry." says Bradley in third-person.Dane comes in to tell Ravi that there starting already but sees that Bradley and Bernard and teasing him."Did you break his camera" Dane asks frightened in fear."Why yes, but what are you going to do about it?" Bradley says in his powerful but chafe voice "You know what if you can beat me up I'll buy him a brand new camera." Dane replies hatefully admitting that he knows he can't do that."Get out of here!" yells Bernard and Bradley.
The next day at school Kurtis heres about the situation that happened at the studio and sees Bradley sitting at luch with his friends.Kurtis vilifies Bradley starting a fight.The outcast watch and deverse a plan to get all there bullies to a fake party at Danes cabin.Dane states to Ravi,"Tell Kurtis not to go to any upcoming events since he not on of them." At Danes new cabin the outcast set up cameras and guns to use when they lure all the popular kids from the invitations they sent out.Lacing the alcohol with a drug,causing everyone to fall unconscious.Everyone starting to arrive came

    The summer before her freshman year of high school, Melinda Sordino, meets Andy Evans at a party. Outside in the woods, Andy rapes her. Melinda calls 911, but does not know what to say. The police come and break up the party. Melinda does not tell anyone what happened to her, and no one asks. She starts high school at Merryweather High School as an outcast, shunned by her friends for calling the police. She remains silent and sinks into depression. Melinda is befriended by Heather, a new girl, who clings to Melinda only to ditch her for "the Marthas". As Melinda's depression deepens, she begins to skip school, isolating herself from her parents and others who assume she is seeking attention. She slowly ignores her lab partner, David Petrakis, who encourages her to speak up for herself. The truth comes out about what happened at the party.
