As being the human resources manager in charge of hiring a new sales manager for the latest fiber optics to the five key companies it is important to be open-minded. When reviewing applications it will be important to read all qualifications that each individual has and how much experience each candidate has at a previous employment. It will be important to review years spent in sale and years involves with sales of fiber optics. This job appears to be very specific in type of sales work this individual will be performing so more knowledge in fiber optics is a plus over number of years solely in sales of another product. Once the interview process begins with face to face interviews I feel it would be important to have group interviews with other team members from the sales department. This would help get a diverse group of people’s opinion on the newest team member and help view strengths and weakness that other team members saw. When there is a diverse group reviewing each candidate it will make for a better representative to the sales team when dealing with multiple diverse companies. I feel if I were to be interviewing alone I would not be able to fully assess each’s candidate’s abilities with dealing with multiple cultures. Choosing the best candidate for this position requires someone who has time and availability to travel during the week and after work hours have time to socialize with customers. The candidate must be culturally diverse to be understanding of each customer’s needs, like, and wants. The only way to sell a product to someone is to know what the client is looking for and understanding this. This position is not gender bias this position could be male or female, this position cannot be culture bias any person with the time, availability, experience, and education should be the proper candidate for

This company should hire people based on things like their level of experience and skill, and whether they have the aspects necessary for that position. The hiring process should not be based on the person 's racial or ethnic background, or whether they are a male or a female. People should be comfortable enough that when they apply for a position within your company they do not worry about whether or not they are being discriminated against. It is not easy looking for new staff, let alone new staff with the right credentials that will fit in with the rest of the employees. Sometimes we tend to not look past the scrutiny of how one is dressed or how they look or where they come from. We don’t know if their culture will assimilate with our work environment culture. Everyone tends to set a precedent before the new eligible candidate is thought of either if they will be male or female or white, black, Hispanic, Asian or Middle Eastern. Employees tend to already, after so many years of working with one another, tend to formulate certain cliques based on age, race and other characteristics even on education background and experiences. An organisation’s ability to attract talent from outside depends on how potential applicants view the company, the sector in which it operates and its culture. This is why BRAND IDENTITY seems to be one of the most important factors influencing an organisation’s approach to attracting talent. The top-notch candidates will always ask ‘what’s in this for me’? ‘Unless a business is a brand new start-up, they’re likely to have an existing reputation as an employer – whether this is intentional or not. Given that potential new employees make decisions about joining based on this impression, it pays to define a strategy to make sure the right (and real)…
