Write A Letter To Keller High School
Dear Keller ISD School Board Members,
My name is Maya Cross and I am a Freshman at Keller high school. I have a concern about what the temperature is kept in Keller High School. I believe that the temperature in the school is kept way too cold. While some might love the cold, I know that most of the students that attend Keller would agree that our school is kept too cold. Therefore, I think the ambient temperature should be increased.
As a student attending Keller High School, I know that the temperature is one of the major problems occurring at Keller High right now. Whether I am listening to a lecture, taking a test, or sitting down eating lunch, I am freezing cold. Most students at Keller High find it hard to concentrate due to the cold

I gave him my number because I felt like I had to and he started sending me sexually explicit comments. Like for an example, he wrote that I need some slow steady guidance. He said "I was also asking for pictures of his male genitalia. But I have never asked him that and that's an improper thing to do. I had a help from a friend and recently I blocked him.…

Having spent three years at Columbus High School, I was ready for senior year to begin. However, I was not ready to endure the harsh reality of completing the obligatory senior project. In order to graduate from Columbus High School, it is mandatory to complete over one hundred hours learning a new skill, called senior project, which consisted of four different phases. At the end of my junior year, the principal, Dr. Crumbs, called us all into an assembly to discuss the requirements for senior project, and he told us to go ahead and start thinking about which skill we would like to learn. He had mentioned how students previously learned the skill of the acoustic guitar. I was determined to pick a skill that I was particularly fascinated by,…

Furthermore, students have been very patient with the teachers and faculty of South Gwinnett High School, but with such a long history of mistreatment, headache and constant nagging from the staff it is only right that the rest of the world finds out what has been happening. It has rained so long, it seems as though it has rained for 40 days and nights. They give us repeated pointless referrals; they give us way too much work with no time to finish. Staff are constantly questioning students in the hallways and telling us what to wear. They tell us when we can or cannot use the restroom; they tell us that we only have six minutes to get to each class, which is not enough time. Our lockers are too small and our lunches are inedible. They refuse to let us go off campus for lunch, and they refuse to let us self-checkout anymore. They punish us if we do not make it to class on time by going to the tardy room, and they punish…

As we all know, the seasons change year round, but we experience most of these weather changes during school. Summer to fall is the beginning of a new school year, as spring to summer is the ending of the school year. With the temperature changes during these seasons, they seem cause havoc in high schools, sometimes even in middle schools. Most people celebrate the weather change from winter to summer, yet teenage girls seem to dread this change because high schools treat dress codes like a “23-19” from Monsters’ Inc. Yet we constantly only see schools directing this dress code majorly at girls; when have we heard of a boy being sent home for his pants being too low? Never. Which is why many see reevaluating the dress code in public schools…

Dressing for the weather is really important to do, especially when it's extremely hot out and there aren't air conditioners in the school that work properly. When it's hot people don't like to wear a lot of clothes. Seeing the shoulders of guys and girls in school isn't going to hurt anyone. They should just be able to wear spaghetti strap shirts and tank-tops wider than three inches. Pants shouldn't be worn when it's hot, you can't concentrate on your work, because you are only thinking about how hot it is and how much longer until you can go home and…

While I appreciate the many benefits of our school, I think there are still some problems. A big, the bigger, the biggest problem is school uniform. From the moment I looked at the box, that contains the books that could become my ISU, The Help has captured my eyes because of its vibrant appearance. The Help, with its color purple and yellow combination, made me think that the story will be a reflection of reality and would helped me to become aware of the w orld around me. In addition, the three birds on the front cover, suggests to me that they represent the protagonists of the novel. Furthermore, the cloud shaped, where the title is printed on, suggests that religion will be involved in the story since cloud represents heaven. Moreover, the comment by NPR.org: “This could be one of the most important pieces of fiction since To Kill a Mockingbird…If you read only one book… let this be it.” , made me draw my conclusion that the concept of The Help will be almost similar to To Kill a Mocking Bird. Although I only read the summary of To Kill A Mockingbird, I already love the story and because of NPR.org’s comment I have decided to read The Help. Like other books, readers usually read the blurb to get a description the book. The blurb in The Help provides an excellent overview of what the book is all about. As a result, the book caught my attention because the synopsis created an interesting atmosphere while I was reading it. The Help, famous for being a top read in 2009 and its film adaptation in 2011, is successful in catching the reader’s interest by its cover, and story. Hence, I chose this book…

You are entering a new part of your life which is fundamental for you to become someone of success in your future, High School. High School consists of four tough years of studying that can lead you to a great college or a not so good college, it will depend on you whether you will end up with the first option or the second option. This is the time where you will start building your character as a future man, and where you have to start developing your ideas, ideals, and principles as student, future man, and worker. It will be time to start doing things on your own more and more often. Such as big projects, solving problems, talking to teachers, etc. In my opinion, High School teaches you life values, in minor ways that will lead you to become successful in College or Universities. I did not feel the subjects only get tougher and tougher, that at one point you will feel that you are in College already. So do not expect anything extremely tough over the years, but do not relax and think it will be easy. On this aspect Schools do it very well, and they raise the level gradually so you have to create habits that will help you for your studies and life, in High School and College.…

A dilemma with uniforms is that often schools are unaware on how uncomfortable they are for students and its impact on the student’s health. School uniforms are pretty uncomfortable when the weather or the seasons change, causing the student to be either too hot or too cold, therefore a handful of students will lose concentration in class. Also school uniforms harm the body when they are too cold or far too hot which results in sicknesses and absences. When a small proportion of students start to dislike their uniforms, they may abuse or destroy their own uniforms.…
