he thought that he would have fought in the war go home and then run in the olympics in tokyo. never thought he would see hundreds of thousands of men carrying soot from the mines. these men never showered. Many of these men had died of lack of nourishment, lack sleep causing them to barely function. many of these men have seen their best friends. these men pray for the chance to go home and see their families.
After places all over japan were bombed and many people injured and dead. After japan had been bombed multiple times they had soon given up. When these men were going to get a bath were going to get a bath they thought everything was coming to an abrupt end but then lot was a miracle they saw a plane and the american symbol. The war was over. men that had been in the camp for years had finally returned home to their families. Many japanese soldiers went into hiding. Others committed suicide.
personally this movie, wasn’t the best but it shows the struggles and pain that these men endured. lowie in his old age accomplished his dream to run in the olympics in tokyo.
